EDD account showing $0 earnings for 2023 - How to fix this error?
Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle here. Just found out my wage earnings for all of 2023 are showing up as $0 on my EDD account. This is totally wrong because I worked the entire year and definitely earned money in every quarter. Has anyone else dealt with this kind of issue before? I'm planning to call EDD to get this fixed, but I'm not sure what to expect or how to approach it. Any advice would be super appreciated!

Ugh, classic EDD mess-up. ð I had something similar happen last year. Here's what you need to do: 1. Gather all your pay stubs and W-2 forms for 2023 2. Call EDD (good luck getting through lol) 3. Explain the situation calmly and clearly 4. Ask for a case number or reference number 5. Follow up in writing if possible Be prepared for a long wait and possibly multiple calls. Stay persistent!

Good advice! I'd add to take notes on everything during the call, including any promises made by EDD so you have a record.

Unpopular opinion: EDD is actually trying their best with limited resources. The system is old and they're dealing with millions of claims. Cut them some slack.

I actually agree. It's a tough job, and they are often under-resourced. That doesn't mean we shouldn't push for improvements though.

Here's a detailed guide on how to handle this situation: 1. Document everything: Gather all your pay stubs, W-2 forms, and any communication with your employer about your 2023 wages. 2. Prepare for the call: Write down a clear, concise explanation of the issue. Include specific dates and amounts. 3. Contacting EDD: - Try calling early in the morning or late in the afternoon - Be patient and polite with the representative - Clearly explain the discrepancy between your actual earnings and what's showing in the EDD system 4. During the call: - Ask for a case number or reference number - Get the name of the representative you speak with - Ask about the timeline for resolving the issue - Inquire if they need any additional documentation from you 5. Follow-up: - Send any requested documents via certified mail or fax - Set a reminder to follow up if you don't hear back within the given timeline 6. Escalation: - If the issue isn't resolved, consider contacting your local assembly member or state senator for assistance Remember, stay calm and persistent. These issues can take time to resolve, but they will get sorted out eventually.

Great advice! I'd add: record the call if it's legal in your state. Can be helpful if you need to reference the convo later.

Yeah, I checked online first. That's actually where I noticed the problem. Everything shows $0 for 2023. ðŦ

Sometimes logging out and then logging back in can refresh the system and show the correct info.

This happened to me too! Turns out my employer messed up their quarterly reporting. Make sure you have your paystubs ready when you call EDD. They might need to contact your employer to fix it.

Hey OP, it's crucial to address issues like this with the EDD as soon as possible to avoid complications. Claimyr is a reputable service that can help expedite contact with a representative, but it's understandable to feel iffy about paying for access to government services. Consider using Claimyr if you're really stuck. In addition, remember that state representatives can occasionally intervene to speed up processes with EDD. You might also find it beneficial to check with your HR department to ensure your employer submitted the correct information. Don't forget to keep a record of all interactions, as this will be helpful if you need to escalate the issue. Good luck!

I found a way to get someone on the phone fast. Used this site called claimyr.com - it's a calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, and then sends the call to your phone when an agent picks up. Costs $20 but totally worth it imo. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

I used Claimyr as well, and it was a lifesaver. But it does feel like we shouldn't have to pay to access government services more efficiently. Mixed feelings!
