EDD claim denied due to missing wages - need help appealing!

Hey everyone, I'm having some issues with my unemployment claim. My earned wages aren't showing up correctly, and I think my claim might have been filed improperly. Has anyone else dealt with this? I'm planning to call and appeal, but I'm not sure what to expect. Any advice on how to handle this situation?

I found a way to solve incorrect unemployment claim wages, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jPu1fJCcB1Y

Ugh, I've been there. It's so frustrating when the system messes up your wages. Make sure you have all your pay stubs and employment records ready when you call. They'll probably ask for specific dates and amounts.

Thanks for the tips! I'll definitely gather everything before I call. Hopefully it'll make the process smoother.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/AsdxiF0IH1k

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

$20? Idk man, seems kinda steep just to make a phone call 🤔

I get the skepticism, but it seriously saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo. Give it a shot if you're desperate!

Can confirm, used it last week. Felt like magic when my phone actually rang with an agent on the line 🙌

Here's what you need to do: 1. Gather all your wage info: pay stubs, W-2s, anything that shows your correct earnings. 2. Write down the specific weeks where your wages are missing or incorrect. 3. If you filed online, print out a copy of your claim for reference. 4. Call early in the morning - like right when they open. You'll have better luck getting through. 5. Be polite but firm. Explain the situation clearly and ask about the appeals process. 6. Take notes during the call, including the name of who you spoke with. 7. Follow up with an email summarizing your call and attaching any relevant documents. 8. If they don't resolve it, ask about filing a formal appeal. Stay persistent! The system is a mess, but you'll get it sorted eventually. Good luck!

Don't forget to check if your state has an ombudsman office for unemployment issues. They can sometimes help cut through the red tape.

Quick tip: if you can't get through on the phone, try reaching out on Twitter. Sometimes their social media team is more responsive than the regular customer service.

Has anyone had luck with the online appeal process? I've been waiting for weeks and haven't heard anything back. Starting to feel like I'm shouting into the void here 😫

Online appeal is a joke. I waited 2 months before I gave up and started calling everyday

Pro tip: if you're having trouble with the state website, try using a different browser or clearing your cache. Sometimes that fixes weird glitches in the system.

Anyone else notice that the wage info they have is from like 2 quarters ago? Might explain why your recent earnings aren't showing up, OP.
