EDD SDI: Doctor confirmed, lost call with EDD, checks delayed - what to do next?
So I've been waiting for my checks after my doctor confirmed everything over the phone on Monday. They called me back but I couldn't hear anyone talking and lost the call. It wasn't my fault tho. Now I'm just sitting here wondering what to do next. Anyone been through this before? Any advice on how to get things moving?

Anyone else feel like we need a support group for dealing with EDD stress? 🙋♂️

Maybe we should start a discord server or something?

A community support group is a great idea. Sharing experiences and advice can alleviate some stress and provide solidarity.

Been there, done that. The system is so broken its not even funny. Here's what you gotta do: 1. Call them back ASAP. Like, yesterday. 2. Have all your info ready - claim number, dates, everything. 3. Be polite but firm. Tell them your doc confirmed on Monday and you're waiting on those checks. 4. Ask specific questions: Has the doc's confirmation been received? What's the status of your payment? Anything else they need from you? 5. Take notes during the call. Write down names, dates, and what they tell you. 6. If they ask for more stuff, do it right away. Don't give em any excuse to delay. Good luck, hope you get your money soon!

This is solid advice. Documenting everything is key; it can help if you need to escalate the issue later.

Persistence is key, but it shouldn't be this hard. The system needs reform to be more user-friendly.

PRO TIP: If you get through to someone, ask for their direct extension or email. It's like finding a golden ticket in a Wonka bar!

This is invaluable advice. Having a direct line means less time wasted on hold and a better chance of resolving issues quickly.

Have you tried reaching out to your local representative? Sometimes they can light a fire under the EDD's butt and get things moving.

I hadn't thought of that. How do I find my local rep?

Just google "[your city] state representative". Send them an email explaining your situation. They usually have staff dedicated to helping with this stuff

Involving your local representative can sometimes expedite the process as they have direct lines of communication with these agencies.

Early morning calls are hit or miss. I've had better luck calling right before lunch. They're eager to wrap up before their break lol

Another timing trick is to call right before the office closes. Sometimes, you can catch someone who wants to clear up their queue.

Yo, I found this awesome hack to get someone on the phone. There's this site called claimyr.com that has a calling tool. It dials through all the phone menu BS, stays on hold for you, and then when a real person picks up, it sends the call to your phone. It costs $20, but it's totally worth it. Check out this video: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

100% legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of hold time. Best $20 I ever spent on this unemployment nightmare

$20?! That's highway robbery! We shouldn't have to pay to get basic service 😡

I get it, but think about how much your time is worth. I wasted days trying to get through. This solved it in one go

Claimyr does offer a real convenience, but it's worth considering how dependent we should become on paid services for accessing what should be a public service. It might not be sustainable for everyone.

have you tried faxing your documents? sometimes the old school methods work better with these dinosaurs 🦕

Faxing? What year is it? 😂 But seriously, might give it a try if nothing else works

It's funny, but reliable - some systems are just better set up for physical documents. Always worth trying multiple approaches.

Bruh, I've been dealing with this nonsense for MONTHS. It's like they're playing hot potato with our lives. Keep pushing, don't let them forget about you!

It's so frustrating that we have to fight so hard just to get basic services. Solidarity helps; we need to keep sharing strategies.

I heard they updated their system recently. Anyone notice any improvements? Or is it still a dumpster fire? 🔥

System updates often fix some bugs but can introduce new ones. Feedback from users is crucial to continued improvement.

Plot twist: what if the doctor never actually confirmed anything and we're all just stuck in a bureaucratic limbo? 🤔👀
