Need to confirm doctor's appt with EDD ASAP to keep payments - can't get through on phone. Help!

Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle here. I need to provide proof of my upcoming doctor's appointment to continue receiving my payments. The appointment is scheduled for next month, but I need to confirm it with them today or tomorrow at the latest. I've been trying to get through to someone on the phone all day. Any advice on how to handle this situation? I'm really worried about my bills if there's a delay in my payments.

I found a way to solve appointment proof for benefits payments, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dn1oUfAlGz0

Ugh, I feel your pain. The system is so broken. I had to do something similar last month and it was a nightmare. Have you tried faxing the appointment confirmation? Sometimes that works faster than waiting on hold forever.

Thanks for the suggestion! I didn't even think about faxing. Do you know if they accept emailed documents? My doctor's office might be able to send it directly.

I'm not sure about email, tbh. When I did it, they were pretty strict about fax or snail mail. But things might have changed. Worth a shot to ask when you get through!

Email worked for me last time! Just make sure to follow up with a phone call to confirm they received it. Good luck OP!

I found a way to get someone on the phone fast. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this? 🤔

I'm skeptical. $20 just to make a phone call? That's highway robbery!

I get the skepticism, but it seriously saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny when you're dealing with time-sensitive stuff like OP's situation.

Can confirm, I've used it twice now. Beats sitting on hold all day or calling 100 times just to get through.

Have you tried going to your local office in person? Sometimes face-to-face is the best way to get things sorted quickly.

This is why the system is so messed up. They make it impossible to reach anyone and then punish us for not providing info on time. It's a catch-22. 😡

Preach! 🙌 I swear they do it on purpose to discourage people from claiming benefits.

Guys, lets not assume malice. The system is just outdated and underfunded. Still sucks tho

Here's what you need to do: 1. Keep calling persistently. Use multiple phones if possible. 2. Try early morning (right when they open) or late afternoon. 3. While waiting, gather all your documents: appointment confirmation, ID, claim number, etc. 4. If you can't get through by phone, try these alternatives: - Fax the documents (include a cover sheet with your claim info) - Email if they accept it (follow up to confirm receipt) - Visit in person if there's an office nearby 5. Document all your attempts to contact them (dates, times, methods) 6. If all else fails, contact your local representative or ombudsman Remember, persistence is key. Don't give up! And make sure to explain the urgency of your situation when you do get through. Good luck!

I checked but couldn't find an option for uploading appointment confirmations. Maybe I missed it though? I'll take another look, thanks!
