EDD Money Network card hacked, $7700 stolen. Need help setting up direct deposit for benefits ASAP!
My money network card got hacked and over $7700 was stolen from it. I called customer service and they closed my account. Now I need to set up direct deposit for my benefits. Has anyone else dealt with this? What should I do during my call with EDD to make sure I get my benefits?

Ugh, that sucks! I've been there before. Here's what you need to do: 1. Gather all your docs and info before the call 2. Explain the situation clearly to the agent 3. Ask them to confirm no new card was ordered 4. Request help setting up direct deposit 5. Follow up on any instructions they give you 6. Keep an eye on your bank account for deposits Good luck! Let us know how it goes.

•This is solid advice! I'd add: write down the agent's name and ID number, just in case you need to reference the call later.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

•Yeah, it's legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of hold time. Worth every penny imo

•How long did it take for them to get someone on the line?

•For me, it took about 45 minutes. Way better than the 3+ hours I spent trying on my own before!

•Not everyone has a personal bank account tho. Some ppl rely on those cards

Have you filed a police report? Might help with the fraud claim process.

Pro tip: if you cant get thru on the main line, try calling right when they open or just before they close. Sometimes works for me
