EDD Extension Update: How Long Did It Take for Your Account to Reflect Changes?
Hey everyone, I just got an update on my extension. Anyone else in the same boat? How long did it take for you to see the changes reflected in your account? I'm hoping it won't take too long, but you never know with these things. Fingers crossed!

Congrats on getting the update! I just went through this process last month. It took about 5 business days for everything to show up in my account. Hang in there!

•Thanks for sharing your experience! 5 days isn't too bad. I guess I'll just have to be patient 😅

•5 days? You got lucky! Mine took almost 2 weeks to update. The system is so slow sometimes 🙄

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone about this stuff. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Does it really work?

•It does! I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo

•$20 just to talk to someone? The system is so broken 🤦♂️

•I get it, but think about how much time and stress it saves. For me, it was worth it to finally get answers

Pro tip: keep checking your account daily. Sometimes the updates happen faster than they tell you. I saw mine change after just 2 days!

Here's what I've learned about extensions after going through this process multiple times: 1. Be patient: Updates can take anywhere from 2 days to 3 weeks. It varies wildly. 2. Keep all your documentation: You might need to prove your eligibility again. 3. Check your account daily: Sometimes updates happen without notification. 4. Use the online portal when possible: It's often faster than mail. 5. If you don't see updates after 2 weeks, try to contact them. 6. Be prepared for possible gaps in payments during the transition. 7. Make sure all your info is up to date in the system. Hope this helps someone! We're all in this together. 💪

Has anyone tried contacting their local representative about these delays? I've heard it can sometimes speed things up.

•I did this last year! It actually helped a lot. My case got escalated and resolved within a week after months of nothing.

•How do you even find out who your local rep is? 🤔

William Schwarz
•Just Google '[your state] find my representative'. Most states have websites where you can input your address and it'll show you who represents you.

Unpopular opinion: maybe we should be grateful extensions exist at all? I know the wait sucks, but at least we have this option.
