EDD Disability Claim Status - No Response Yet. What to Do?
Hey everyone, I'm waiting to hear back from EDD about my disability claim. It's been a while and I'm getting anxious. Has anyone else been in this situation? How long did it take for you to get a response? I'm thinking about calling them in a few days if I don't hear anything soon.

Ugh, I feel ya. I've been waiting on my disability claim for what feels like forever. It's so frustrating! Have you tried checking your online account for updates? Sometimes they update there before sending anything out.

ā¢Pro tip: Set up email notifications for your EDD account. That way you don't have to keep logging in to check. Saved me a ton of anxiety!

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but EDD is notoriously slow. I waited almost 2 months before I heard anything about my claim. It's a total mess rn š¤¦āāļø

ā¢2 months?! That's insane. I hope it doesn't take that long for me. Did you try calling them at all during that time?

Hey, I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

ā¢Sounds too good to be true. Does it really work? $20 seems steep just to make a phone call.

ā¢I was skeptical too, but it actually worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth it IMO.

ā¢I get the hesitation, but it's legit. They even have a money-back guarantee if you don't get through. Just sharing what worked for me!

Have you tried reaching out to your local assembly member's office? They can sometimes help speed things up with EDD. Worth a shot!

Okay, listen up folks. I've been through this rodeo before, and here's what you need to know about dealing with EDD disability claims: ⢠First, patience is key. The average processing time is 2-3 weeks, but it can take up to 6-8 weeks in some cases. ⢠Make sure your claim is complete. Any missing info can cause major delays. ⢠Keep all your medical documentation organized and ready. They might ask for additional info. ⢠Use your online account to your advantage. Set up notifications and check regularly. ⢠If you haven't heard anything after 30 days, that's when you should start trying to contact them. ⢠Be persistent but polite when you do get through to someone. ⢠Consider reaching out to your local assembly member if you're really stuck. Remember, the system is overloaded right now, so delays are common. Hang in there!

Has anyone had luck with faxing additional info to EDD? I heard it might be faster than mail but idk if that's true.
