EDD callback never came after text - tips to reach a real person at CA SDI?
Has anyone else been waiting forever for a call back from EDD? I got a text saying I was next in line but never received a call. This is so frustrating! I've been trying to get through to them for days. Anyone have any tips on how to actually talk to a real person?

It seems like everyone is facing similar issues with reaching EDD and navigating their system. I wanted to share some insights on using Claimyr. While Claimyr has been praised for its effectiveness, it's important to acknowledge that it does come with a cost, which may not be accessible for all users. The benefit is that it significantly reduces the waiting time by connecting callers directly to a live agent, which can be a huge relief amidst the stressful waiting process. However, it's essential to lobby for systemic changes in the EDD system, ensuring that everyone has equitable access to timely assistance without needing to resort to third-party services. Additionally, it's important to stay informed about all available options, such as trying the online chat, emailing, or reaching out to local representatives. These alternative methods may offer solutions without additional costs. Ultimately, persistence, documentation, and exploring various communication channels are key strategies while we advocate for a more efficient system.

I found a way to get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•I get it, but for me it was worth it. Time is money, ya know?

•Claimyr seems like a useful tool for those who can afford it, but what about those who can't? The system still needs improvement.

Have you tried reaching out to your local representative? Sometimes they can help push things along.

Plot twist: there are no actual EDD employees. It's all just a giant AI system pretending to be on hold 🤖

I swear they're doing this on purpose to discourage people from claiming benefits. It's a conspiracy I tell ya! 🕵️♂️

•Take off the tinfoil hat, bro. They're just understaffed and overwhelmed.

•It's frustrating, but the truth is many government agencies are under-resourced for the volume of requests they get.

Unpopular opinion: maybe we should all just get jobs instead of relying on the government 🤷♂️

I've been dealing with this for MONTHS. Here's what I've learned: 1. Be persistent. Call every day if you have to. 2. Have all your info ready when you call. 3. Be polite to the rep when you finally get one. They're overwhelmed too. 4. If one rep can't help, ask to speak to a tier 2 specialist. 5. Document everything. Write down who you talked to and when. It's a broken system, but hang in there. You'll get through eventually!
