EDD DE 2593 Form Missing - No Benefits for 4 Weeks. Help!
Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle. I haven't received my unemployment benefit check for the last 4 weeks. I was supposed to get a DE 2593 form in my online account around August 31st, but it's nowhere to be found. My payments have been stopped because of this. Has anyone else dealt with missing forms or payment delays? Any advice on how to get this sorted out quickly?

Ugh, I feel your pain. The EDD system is such a mess rn. Have you tried calling them? It's a nightmare, but sometimes that's the only way to get things moving.

•Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 mins on hold last week.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Check out this video for more info: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•20 bucks? That's highway robbery! The government should make it easier to reach them without having to pay extra.

•I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Sometimes you gotta spend money to make money, ya know?

•I used it too. Worth every penny when you're desperate to get your benefits sorted out.

Here's what you need to do: 1. Double-check your UI Online account to make sure your contact info is up to date. 2. Send an email to EDD requesting they resend the DE 2593 form. Be polite but firm. 3. If you don't hear back within 5 business days, try calling. 4. If calling doesn't work, contact your local assembly member's office. They can often help push things through. 5. Document everything! Keep a log of all your attempts to contact EDD. Hang in there, OP. The system is broken, but persistence usually pays off eventually.

•This is solid advice. I'd add: check if there are any EDD workshops in your area. Sometimes they have in-person events where you can get help.

I'm in the same boat, man. Been waiting on my benefits for 6 weeks now. This whole system is FUBAR. Hang in there, we're all struggling together. 💪

•6 weeks? That's rough. I thought my 3-week wait was bad. Hope you get it sorted soon!

Plot twist: what if the DE 2593 form is just a myth and none of us are ever getting our benefits? 👀 #EDDconspiracy

Hey OP, have you tried reaching out to your local assemblymember or state senator? Their offices can sometimes help cut through the red tape and get answers from EDD faster.

•I hadn't thought of that! Do you know how I would go about contacting them?

•Just google '[your area] state assembly member' or '[your area] state senator'. Their websites usually have a 'Contact Us' page where you can submit a request for help. Good luck!

I had the exact same issue with a missing DE 2593 form! What worked for me was logging into UI Online and going to the "Forms" section - sometimes they show up there even if you didn't get an email notification. Also, try clearing your browser cache and cookies, then log back in. If it's still not there, you can actually request a duplicate form through the "Contact EDD" messaging system in your account. It took about 10 business days, but they eventually sent me a new one. Don't give up - the form is definitely real and you will get your benefits once this gets sorted out!

•This is super helpful! I'm dealing with a similar situation right now. Did you have to provide any specific information when you requested the duplicate form through the messaging system? And when you say 10 business days, was that from when you submitted the request or from when they actually responded to your message?

•@Hailey O'Leary Thanks for sharing this! I'm going to try the Forms section right now - I never even knew that existed. Quick question: when you requested the duplicate through the messaging system, did you just explain the situation or did you need to include specific claim numbers or dates? I want to make sure I include all the right info so they don't bounce it back to me.

I'm going through the exact same nightmare right now! Missing DE 2593 form, no payments for 3 weeks. What's really frustrating is that I can see in my payment history that everything was fine until this form was supposed to show up. I've been checking my UI Online account obsessively every day. Has anyone tried reaching out through social media? I saw some people saying EDD sometimes responds faster on Twitter when you @ them publicly. Might be worth a shot since the phone lines are basically useless. Really appreciate everyone sharing their experiences here - at least we know we're not alone in this mess!

•@Makayla Shoemaker I m'so sorry you re'dealing with this too! The Twitter idea is actually brilliant - I ve'heard that public pressure sometimes gets faster responses from government agencies. What s'your Twitter handle? Maybe we could coordinate and tag EDD together to get more visibility. Also, have you tried checking if your local EDD office has walk-in hours? I know most went appointment-only during COVID, but some might be accepting walk-ins again. It s'worth checking their website or calling the local office directly not (the main number .)Hang in there - we ll'get through this! 💪
