EDD Claim Disappeared from System - What to Do?

Hey everyone, I'm having an issue with my unemployment claim. It seems to have disappeared from the system. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm not sure what to do next. Should I call EDD or is there a way to fix this online? Any advice would be appreciated!

Ugh, that sucks! I had a similar issue last month. Have you tried logging out and back in? Sometimes the system glitches and doesn't show your claim info.

Thanks for the suggestion! I tried logging out and back in, but no luck. Still can't see my claim 😞

Classic EDD... their website is always having issues. Maybe try clearing your browser cache too?

Good idea, I'll give that a shot. Fingers crossed 🤞

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

0 coins

Yeah, it's legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

Here's what you need to do: 1. Check your email for any recent notices from EDD. They might have sent something about your claim status. 2. Try accessing your account from a different device or browser. 3. If steps 1 and 2 don't work, call EDD directly. Be prepared for a long wait time. 4. When you get through, ask them to verify your account details and check for system errors. 5. Request a timeline for when your claim might be visible again. 6. If they can't help, ask to speak with a supervisor or file a formal complaint. Remember to document everything - dates, times, and names of who you spoke with. Good luck!

Wow, thank you so much for this detailed response! I'll definitely follow these steps. Really appreciate it 💯

This is solid advice. I'd add: take screenshots of any error messages you get on the website. It can help when explaining the issue to EDD.

have you tried turning it off and on again? 🤣 jk jk... but seriously, EDD's system is a joke. good luck OP!

I'm in the same boat, my claim vanished last week. Called EDD and they said it was a 'system update' gone wrong. Apparently it's affecting a lot of people. They told me it should be fixed in 3-5 business days. Hang in there!

0 coins

Oh wow, that's actually reassuring to hear (well, not for all of us affected, but you know what I mean). Thanks for sharing! I'll try to be patient for a few more days.

3-5 business days in EDD time is like 2 weeks in real time 🙄

This happened to me once. Turns out my claim had been flagged for identity verification. Check if you have any pending action items or messages in your inbox. Sometimes they don't send email notifications for these.

Thanks for the tip! I'll double-check my inbox. How long did it take to resolve your issue?

It took about 2 weeks total. Had to upload some documents and wait for them to review. But once that was done, everything went back to normal.

This is such a frustrating situation! I went through something similar a few months ago. My claim just vanished overnight and I was panicking. Here's what worked for me: First, try accessing your account using the EDD mobile app if you haven't already - sometimes it shows different info than the website. Also, check if you can still certify for benefits even if your claim details aren't showing up. If that doesn't work, definitely call them. I know the wait times are brutal, but it's really the only way to get real answers. When you do get through, ask them to check if your claim was moved to a different status or if there's a pending issue you're not seeing. One thing that caught me off guard - they sometimes move claims to "under review" status without proper notification, which makes them invisible in your regular dashboard. Hope this helps and you get it sorted out soon! Keep us updated on what happens.

This is really helpful advice! I didn't even think about trying the mobile app - definitely going to download it and see if it shows anything different. The "under review" status thing is good to know too, that could totally explain why I can't see anything. Thanks for taking the time to share your experience, it gives me hope that this will get resolved! 🙏

I'm dealing with this exact same issue right now! My claim disappeared about 3 days ago and I've been freaking out. Reading through all these responses is actually making me feel a bit better - sounds like it's a widespread system problem rather than something specific to my account. I'm going to try the mobile app suggestion and also check for any identity verification flags. If those don't work, I might have to bite the bullet and either use that calling service someone mentioned or just camp out on hold for hours. It's so frustrating that EDD's system is this unreliable when people are depending on these benefits to survive. But thanks everyone for sharing your experiences and tips - this community is a lifesaver! 🙏

Hey Lauren, you're definitely not alone in this! I'm new here but I've been reading through everyone's experiences and it sounds like this is becoming a pretty common issue with EDD's system lately. It's such a relief to know it's not just us individually messing something up. I'm planning to try the mobile app approach first too - seems like the easiest thing to check before diving into the phone call marathon. And that calling service for $20 is starting to sound pretty tempting compared to spending half my day on hold! Hope we both get this sorted out quickly. Will definitely update if I find anything that works! 🤞

I'm going through the exact same thing right now! My claim vanished from the system yesterday and I've been stressing about it all night. This thread is honestly a huge relief - knowing it's a widespread system issue and not something I did wrong makes me feel so much better. I'm definitely going to try the mobile app suggestion first since that seems like the quickest fix to try. And wow, that calling service for $20 is looking pretty appealing right about now compared to potentially wasting an entire day on hold with EDD. Has anyone who's experienced this before noticed if there are certain times of day when the system is more likely to show your claim info? Like early morning or late evening? Just wondering if it's worth checking periodically throughout the day. Really appreciate everyone sharing their experiences here - this community is amazing for helping navigate EDD's chaos! Will definitely update if I find anything that works. Fingers crossed we all get this resolved soon! 🤞

Welcome to the EDD nightmare club, Fatima! 😅 I'm pretty new here too but from what I've been reading, it seems like this disappearing claim issue is becoming way too common lately. Regarding checking at different times - I haven't noticed a pattern personally, but I've seen some people mention that early morning (like 6-7 AM) sometimes works better since there's less traffic on their servers. Worth a shot! That $20 calling service is definitely sounding more reasonable by the hour. I mean, how much is our sanity worth, right? Plus if it saves us from listening to that awful hold music all day, it might be the best twenty bucks we ever spend. I'll keep checking this thread for updates from everyone. Hopefully we'll all have good news to share soon! Stay strong! 💪

This is such a common issue lately - you're definitely not alone! I've been seeing this happen to so many people over the past few weeks. The mobile app suggestion is really smart, I've heard that sometimes works when the website doesn't. Also wanted to add - if you do end up calling, try calling right at 8:00 AM when they open. I've had better luck getting through early in the morning rather than later in the day. And definitely keep notes of everything like Kennedy mentioned - dates, times, confirmation numbers if they give you any. The system glitches are so frustrating when we're all depending on these benefits. Hang in there and keep us posted on what works! This community has been a lifesaver for navigating EDD problems. 🙏

Thanks for the 8 AM tip, Lilah! That's really helpful to know. I'm definitely going to set an alarm and try calling right when they open tomorrow morning. I've been putting off the phone call because I was dreading the hold time, but it sounds like timing might make a huge difference. It's honestly so reassuring to see how supportive everyone is here - dealing with EDD issues can feel so isolating when you're going through it alone. I'll make sure to document everything like you and Kennedy suggested. Really hoping the early morning call strategy works! Will report back with results. 🤞

I'm so sorry you're dealing with this - it's incredibly stressful when your claim just vanishes! I went through something similar about a month ago and I know how panic-inducing it can be. Here's what I'd recommend trying in this order: 1. **Mobile app first** - Like others mentioned, sometimes the app shows info that the website doesn't. It's worth downloading if you haven't already. 2. **Check your UI Online inbox thoroughly** - Look for any messages about identity verification, eligibility reviews, or system maintenance. Sometimes they bury important notices in there. 3. **Try different browsers/clear cache** - I know it sounds basic, but EDD's system is notoriously finicky with certain browsers. 4. **Call at 8:00 AM sharp** - Set multiple alarms! The hold times are brutal later in the day. When I called, they told me my claim had been flagged for a routine review that wasn't showing up anywhere in my account. It took about 10 days to resolve, but at least I knew what was happening. The fact that Grace heard it's a widespread system update issue is actually encouraging - means it's likely temporary and not account-specific. Hang in there! This community is great for support while dealing with EDD's chaos. Keep us updated! 💙

This is such a comprehensive and reassuring response, thank you! I really appreciate you taking the time to lay out a clear action plan - it makes this whole situation feel much more manageable. The fact that your issue was just a routine review that wasn't showing up anywhere gives me hope that mine might be something similar. I'm definitely going to follow your steps in order. Already downloaded the mobile app and will check it first thing in the morning, then dig through my UI Online inbox more carefully. The 8 AM calling strategy seems to be the consensus here, so I'll set those alarms! It's so helpful to hear that even when it took 10 days to resolve, at least you knew what was happening once you got through to them. The uncertainty is honestly the worst part of all this. Thanks again for sharing your experience and for the encouragement - this community really is amazing for getting through EDD's madness! 🙏

I'm so sorry you're going through this - I can imagine how stressful it must be to have your claim just disappear! I'm fairly new to dealing with EDD myself, but reading through everyone's responses here has been really eye-opening about how common this issue seems to be lately. The advice about trying the mobile app first sounds really smart - I hadn't even thought about that being different from the website. And that tip about calling right at 8 AM seems to be the consensus from people who've actually gotten through successfully. It's honestly both frustrating and somewhat comforting to see how widespread these system issues are. Frustrating because we shouldn't have to deal with this when we're relying on these benefits, but comforting because it means it's likely a fixable technical problem rather than something wrong with individual accounts. I'm rooting for you to get this resolved quickly! Please keep us updated on what ends up working - I have a feeling this thread is going to be helpful for a lot of people dealing with the same issue. This community seems amazing for supporting each other through EDD's chaos! 🤞

Thanks Jake! Yeah, it's definitely been a rollercoaster of emotions - panic first, then relief seeing I'm not alone in this. I'm actually feeling much more optimistic after reading everyone's experiences and advice here. It really does seem like this is just EDD's system acting up again rather than anything we did wrong. I'm planning to try the mobile app approach first thing tomorrow morning, then if that doesn't show anything, I'll do the 8 AM call strategy that multiple people have recommended. The step-by-step plan from Val really helped me feel like I have a clear path forward instead of just panicking. This community has been such a lifesaver - I had no idea so many people were dealing with the same thing! I'll definitely update everyone once I (hopefully) get some answers. Fingers crossed we all get through this EDD madness soon! 💪

I'm dealing with this exact same issue right now! My claim disappeared from my account about a week ago and I've been really stressed about it. Reading through all these responses is honestly such a relief - it sounds like this is happening to a lot of people lately, which means it's probably a system-wide issue rather than something specific to my account. I'm definitely going to try the mobile app suggestion first since that seems like the quickest thing to check. And wow, all the advice about calling at exactly 8 AM is really helpful - I had no idea timing made such a difference with EDD. That $20 calling service is starting to look pretty tempting too, especially if it means avoiding hours of hold music. Sometimes you just have to weigh your sanity against the cost! It's so frustrating that we have to deal with these technical issues when we're depending on these benefits, but this community is amazing for helping navigate EDD's chaos. I'll definitely try the suggestions here and report back if I find anything that works. Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences - it really helps to know we're not going through this alone! 🙏
