EDD Unemployment Claim Status Disappeared - What to Do?
Has anyone else had their claim status disappear? I've been trying to check on my unemployment claim status for weeks now, and suddenly all my information is gone. It's like the system just erased everything. I've called multiple times but can't get through to a real person. This is so frustrating! I'm worried about my benefits and don't know what to do next. Anyone else experiencing this or have any advice?

I'm in the same boat, friend. Been trying to get through for weeks. It's like they're playing hide and seek with our benefits. Stay strong! πͺ

Ugh, I feel your pain. The EDD system is a total nightmare. I had something similar happen last month - my claim vanished into thin air. Turns out it was just a glitch in their system. Try logging out and back in, sometimes that helps. If not, keep calling. It sucks, but persistence is key with these clowns. π€‘

β’I've heard of glitches happening a lot. It's like they built the system on quicksand. π

Claimyr really seems like a good service if you're in a bind with EDD. However, keep in mind that it is a paid service, and while it can save time, you are adding an additional cost. Also, there are other ways to try to resolve these issues without spending money, such as reaching out to your state representative or joining social media groups for help. Keep trying different approaches and see what works best for you.

Here's what you need to do: 1. Document everything. Take screenshots of your account, write down dates and times of your calls. 2. Try calling right when they open or just before they close. Sometimes you have better luck getting through. 3. Use social media. Tweet at EDD or message them on Facebook. Sometimes public pressure helps. 4. File a complaint with the state labor board. It might not solve your immediate problem, but it puts pressure on them to fix their system. 5. Consider reaching out to local news stations. They love stories about government incompetence. 6. Join Facebook groups for EDD claimants. Sometimes people share insider tips there. 7. If all else fails, contact your state representative or senator. They can often cut through red tape. Remember, you're not alone in this. The system is broken, but persistence pays off. Don't let them wear you down!

Ugh, the EDD is such a dumpster fire π₯ I've been dealing with them for months and it's been nothing but headaches. Keep pushing and don't give up. Sometimes you gotta be a squeaky wheel to get the grease, ya know?

Have you tried checking your spam folder? Sometimes EDD emails end up there. Also, make sure you're using the correct login info. I know it sounds basic, but I've seen people mess that up before.

β’Thanks for the suggestion, but I've already checked my spam folder and triple-checked my login info. No luck. π This is driving me crazy!

β’Maybe try clearing your browser cache and cookies? Sometimes that can help with weird website issues.

β’You'd be surprised how often it's just a cache issue. Tech is funny like that.

Has anyone else noticed that the EDD website always seems to crash right when you need it most? It's like it can smell our desperation.

Friendly reminder to everyone: DOCUMENT EVERYTHING. Save screenshots, write down call times, keep a paper trail. You never know when you might need it.

This is why we need a complete overhaul of the unemployment system. It's not fit for purpose anymore. We should all be writing to our representatives about this!

β’Preach! π The whole system is held together with duct tape and prayers at this point.

Have you tried the secret menu options? Press 2, then 4, then 1, then 3 when you call. Sometimes that gets you to a real person faster.

Guys, I think I figured it out. You need to do a rain dance, sacrifice a rubber chicken, and chant "EDD, EDD, give me my bread" three times. Works every time, 60% of the time.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

β’Sounds sketchy. Is this legit? $20 seems steep just to make a phone call.

β’Totally get the skepticism, but it's 100% legit. I was desperate and tried it. Saved me hours of hold time. Worth every penny IMO.

β’How long did it take for them to get someone on the line?

Emma Thompson
β’It took about 2 hours, but I didn't have to sit there listening to hold music. They called me when an agent was on the line. Way better than wasting a whole day on hold!

This happened to me too! I thought I was going crazy. Turns out there was a system update that messed up a bunch of accounts. I had to file a new claim and it eventually got sorted out. But it took WEEKS. Hang in there!

Have you tried contacting your local assembly member's office? They can sometimes help push things through with EDD. It's worth a shot!

β’I hadn't thought of that. How do I find my assembly member?

β’Just google "[your city] assembly member". They usually have a contact form on their website. Good luck!

I'm so sorry you're dealing with this nightmare! I went through something similar a few months ago where my entire claim history just vanished overnight. It turned out to be a system glitch during one of their "maintenance updates" (which seem to happen constantly and always make things worse π). What finally worked for me was a combination of things: I kept detailed records of everything, called using that 2-4-1-3 trick someone mentioned above, and also sent a certified letter to the EDD office explaining the situation. The letter seemed to light a fire under them because I got a call back within a week. Also, don't panic about your benefits disappearing permanently - in most cases it's just a display issue and your claim data is still in their system somewhere. The trick is getting someone competent enough to find it and restore your access. Stay strong and keep fighting! This system is designed to wear people down, but persistence really does pay off. Document everything and don't let them gaslight you into thinking this is normal or acceptable! πͺ

β’This is incredibly helpful advice! I especially like the certified letter idea - there's something about putting things in writing that seems to get their attention. It's so reassuring to hear from someone who actually got through this mess successfully. I'm definitely going to try the combination approach you mentioned. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and for the encouragement! π
