DEO CONNECT site won't let me claim weeks since September - no button showing
I'm completely stuck with my unemployment claim and getting desperate. Haven't been able to claim any weeks since September 13th (last payment I received). The system just doesn't show any button or option to claim my weeks! I've done everything they asked - set up the Microsoft Authenticator, filled out all my info for that Florida resume maker wizard thing, and even waited the full 48 hours they said it would take to process. Still NOTHING shows up to claim weeks. Did they kick me off the system? How would I even know if they did? I've got bills piling up and no income for over a month now. Has anyone else had this problem with the claim weeks button just disappearing? What steps should I take to fix this mess?

•I'm pretty sure I did all the work searches, but honestly I can't even get to the screen to enter them anymore! How did you fix yours?

There are a few possible reasons this is happening to your CONNECT account: 1. You may have a pending adjudication issue that's preventing new week claims 2. Your claim benefit year might have expired (they last 12 months from filing date) 3. You could have exhausted your available benefit amount 4. There might be an ID.me verification problem in the background Log into CONNECT and check your 'Determination, Pending Issue and Decision Summary' page for any unresolved items. Also check your 'Monetary and Issue Summary' to see if you have an active claim with weeks remaining. If everything looks normal but you still can't claim, you'll need to speak with a DEO agent directly.

•Thanks for the detailed response. I checked both those pages and don't see anything obvious - no pending issues listed and it shows I still have $2,250 in benefits remaining with an active claim. So frustrating!

UGH i HATE the DEO system!!! This EXACT thing happened to me and it took 3 WEEKS to fix!!! The resume wizard thing NEVER works right and somehow locks up your whole account. The real problem is you'll NEVER get through to anyone on the phone - I tried for DAYS and either got busy signals or was on hold for 4+ hours before being disconnected. The whole system is DESIGNED to make you give up!!!

•Yeah eventually I got through to someone who said there was a 'flag' on my account from the Employ Florida system not syncing correctly with CONNECT. They had to manually reset something on their end.

When I had this problem last month, I finally got help by using Claimyr to reach a DEO agent. It's the only way I could actually get someone on the phone after days of trying. They have a video that shows how it works: https://youtu.be/UzW_hbUy-ss?si=zORd51jeq1GX5Ldj The agent told me my account was stuck in a weird status because of an incomplete Employ Florida profile sync. They fixed it while I was on the phone and my claim weeks button appeared about 2 hours later. Might be worth checking out claimyr.com if you keep hitting dead ends trying to call normally.

•Thank you for this suggestion! I'm going to check out that video. At this point, I'll try anything to get this resolved. Did they explain why the button disappeared in the first place?

•In my case, they said something about the Employ Florida system not properly marking my resume as 'complete' even though I had filled everything out. The DEO agent had to manually override something in the system. She mentioned it's a common glitch especially after they did updates to the system in August.

This sounds like what's called a 'locked claim status' in the CONNECT system. When the Employ Florida Marketplace (EFM) profile and the CONNECT system don't sync properly, it can create this exact situation where your claim is active but you can't see the claim weeks button. Try these troubleshooting steps: 1. Log into your Employ Florida account (not CONNECT) and make sure your resume is 100% complete 2. Check that all required workshops are completed 3. Ensure your contact information matches exactly between both systems 4. Look for any pending action items in your EFM inbox If all that checks out, you definitely need to speak with a DEO representative because only they can reset the sync status between systems. Unfortunately, reaching them by phone is extremely difficult without assistance.

•Is this something CareerSource can help with? I thought they could fix some DEO issues now

•CareerSource can help with Employ Florida profile issues, but they don't have direct access to fix syncing problems in the CONNECT system itself. They can verify your EFM profile is complete, but for the actual CONNECT system fix, you still need a DEO representative.

UPDATE: I finally got through to someone at DEO! Used that Claimyr service that was suggested and actually spoke to a real person after weeks of trying. Turns out there was a system flag on my account because my Employ Florida resume wasn't properly marked as 'complete' even though I filled everything out. The agent reset something on their end and said to wait 24 hours for the claim weeks button to reappear. Fingers crossed this works!

my cousin had something like this happen and he had to make a whole new employ florida account because his old one got corrupted somehow. might be worth trying if nothing else works

•That's TERRIBLE advice! Making a new account when you already have one can flag you for fraud investigation! DON'T do this!

FINAL UPDATE: The claim weeks button finally appeared this morning! I can now claim my missing weeks from the past month. The DEO agent was right - it was an issue with the Employ Florida system not properly marking my profile as complete even though I had done everything correctly. So relieved to finally get this fixed. For anyone else with this problem, definitely try to get a live agent on the phone - it's the only way I could get it resolved.

•Great news! Make sure to claim all those weeks right away. Sometimes there's a limited window to claim past weeks, especially if they've been pending for a while.

•Awesome! Glad to hear Claimyr helped you get through. It saved me so much frustration compared to constantly redialing the DEO number.
