EDD 2525 form never received - Need email copy and extension ASAP
Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with my unemployment certification. I never got the 2525 form in the mail for supplemental certification. I need it sent to my personal email and the due date extended. Has anyone else dealt with this? It's been over 2 hours since I requested it and I'm getting worried. Any advice?

I found a way to solve unemployment certification form delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zmW_0kRHTp8

Ugh, I feel your pain. The EDD system is such a mess rn. I had a similar issue last month. Have you tried calling them directly? It's a pain, but sometimes it's the only way to get things sorted.

•I've been trying to call all morning but no luck. It's so frustrating! 😤 How long did it take you to get through?

•It took me like 3 days of constant calling. I swear I hit redial about 500 times. Keep at it tho, you'll get through eventually!

•Pro tip: try calling right when they open. I got through on my second try doing that.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•20 bucks? Idk man, seems kinda steep just to make a phone call.

•I get the skepticism, but it seriously saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

•I used it last week and it worked great. Beats spending all day hitting redial!

Have you checked your spam folder? Sometimes those forms end up there. Also, log into your EDD account online - you might be able to access the form there.

This is why I always tell people to sign up for electronic correspondence. Paper mail is so unreliable these days. 🙄

Okay, here's what you need to do: 1. Log into your EDD account online 2. Go to 'Contact EDD' and select 'Submit Question' 3. Choose 'Unemployment Insurance Benefits' as the category 4. Explain your situation and request the form be sent to your email 5. Ask for an extension due to the delay If that doesn't work within 48 hours, you'll need to call. Be persistent! Good luck!

Have you tried reaching out to your local assembly member's office? They can sometimes help expedite these things.

•I didn't even know that was an option! How do I find my assembly member?

•Just google '[your city] assembly member'. Their office should have a constituent services department that can help with EDD issues.

I went through this exact same thing a few months ago! The EDD 2525 form got lost in the mail and I was panicking about the deadline. Here's what ended up working for me: I called the EDD technical support line (not the main UI line) at 1-800-300-5616 and explained that I never received the form. They were able to email it to me within 24 hours AND extended my deadline by a week. The key is being persistent but polite - explain that you've been waiting and need both the form emailed and an extension due to their mail delay. Don't give up! The system is frustrating but there are people there who will help if you get the right person on the line.

•This is super helpful! I've been calling the main UI line this whole time - no wonder I couldn't get through. The technical support line sounds like a much better option. Thanks for sharing the specific number and your experience! 🙌

I had the exact same issue with the 2525 form! What worked for me was logging into my UI Online account and going to the "History" tab - sometimes the form shows up there as a PDF even if you didn't get the physical mail. Also, try checking your address on file in your account settings - I discovered mine was missing my apartment number which was causing mail delivery issues. If you still can't find it, definitely try that technical support number Marcus mentioned - that line seems way less busy than the main UI line!

•Great tip about checking the History tab! I never would have thought to look there. I'm definitely going to check my address info too - that's such a simple thing that could cause major headaches. Really appreciate everyone sharing their experiences here, it's giving me hope that I can get this sorted out! 🤞

I'm dealing with this same nightmare right now! Been waiting 3 days for my 2525 form and the deadline is tomorrow. Reading through all these suggestions has been super helpful - especially the tip about the technical support line at 1-800-300-5616 instead of the main UI line. I'm also going to check my History tab in UI Online like Paolo suggested. It's so frustrating that we have to jump through all these hoops just to get a form that should have been mailed automatically. Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences and solutions - this community is a lifesaver when EDD fails us! 🙏
