EDD 2525 Form Never Received - Need Email & Extension ASAP
Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with my EDD certification. I never got the 2525 form in the mail for supplemental certification. I need it sent to my personal email and my due date extended. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any advice on how to get this sorted out?

Ugh, I feel your pain. The EDD system is such a mess rn. I had a similar issue last month. Have you tried calling them? It's a nightmare, but sometimes it's the only way to get things fixed.

•Calling is the worst! I spent 3 days trying to get through. It's like they don't want us to reach them 🙄

•Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 mins on hold that way.

•Thanks for the advice! I've been trying to call but no luck so far. I'll try calling right when they open tomorrow.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•$20 just to talk to someone? That's ridiculous. The system is so broken 😤

•I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

•Can you give more details about how it works? Is it legit?

•Sure! You just go to their website, choose the EDD line, pay, and they start calling. When they get an agent, your phone rings. Simple as that. Totally legit, they've been around for a while.

Have you checked your spam folder? Sometimes EDD emails end up there. Also, log into your EDD account online and see if there's any messages or updates there.

I had this exact problem last year! Here's what worked for me: 1. Email them at eddcorrespondence@edd.ca.gov 2. In the subject line put "URGENT: Missing Form 2525" 3. In the body, explain your situation and ask for the form to be emailed 4. Include your full name, last 4 of SSN, and claim ID They got back to me in about 3 business days and emailed the form. Good luck!

This whole system is a joke. They expect us to jump through hoops just to get what we're entitled to. It's like they're trying to make it as difficult as possible. 🤬

Have you tried reaching out to your local assembly member's office? They often have liaisons who can help with EDD issues. It's worked for a few people I know.

•This! 👆 My assemblyman's office was a game-changer. Got my issue resolved in a week after months of nothing.

Guys, I think I found a loophole. If you certify by phone instead of online, sometimes it bypasses the need for the 2525 form. Might be worth a shot while you're waiting for the form.

•Interesting... but be careful. Don't wanna mess up your claim by accident.

I went through the same thing a few months ago! The mail delivery for EDD forms has been super unreliable lately. Here's what I'd recommend: 1. Definitely try the email method @Jasmine Hancock suggested - that correspondence email works 2. Also call the disability insurance number (1-800-480-3287) early morning around 8am when they open 3. You can request an extension while you're waiting for the form - they usually give you an extra week or two Don't stress too much, they understand the mail issues are happening to lots of people right now. Just make sure to document everything (save emails, note down call times, etc.) in case you need to reference it later. You've got this! 💪

•This is really helpful advice! I'm dealing with a similar situation right now. Quick question - when you called that disability number, did you have to wait on hold for a long time? I'm trying to figure out the best time to call to minimize wait times.

I'm going through the exact same thing right now! It's so frustrating when the system fails us like this. I've been waiting for my 2525 form for over two weeks now. One thing that helped me was also checking the EDD website under "Forms and Publications" - sometimes you can download a blank copy of the form directly and fill it out yourself if you can't wait for the mailed version. Just make sure to call and confirm they received it if you go that route. Also, don't give up on calling! I know it's a pain, but persistence pays off. I've found that Tuesdays and Wednesdays around 10-11am tend to have shorter wait times than other days. Keep us posted on how the email method works out - really hoping that gets you sorted quickly! 🙏

•Really appreciate all this detailed info! I didn't know about downloading the blank form from the website - that could be a great backup option while waiting for the official one. The tip about calling on Tuesdays/Wednesdays is super helpful too. It's crazy how we all have to become experts at navigating this broken system just to get basic services. Thanks for sharing your experience! 🙏

I went through this exact same nightmare last month! The postal service issues with EDD forms are getting ridiculous. Here's what finally worked for me: First, definitely try that email address @Jasmine Hancock mentioned - eddcorrespondence@edd.ca.gov. But also send a follow-up email every 2-3 days if you don't hear back. Be polite but persistent. Second, if you have a fax machine or can access one, try faxing your request to their disability services fax line. Sometimes that gets faster attention than emails. Third, document EVERYTHING - screenshot your online account showing no form received, save all emails, keep records of call attempts. If your benefits get delayed, you'll need this paper trail. The good news is they're usually pretty understanding about the mail delays since it's happening to so many people. Just don't let the deadline pass without at least attempting to contact them. Better to submit a late explanation than nothing at all. Hang in there - the bureaucratic maze is exhausting but you'll get through it! 💪

•This is such solid advice! I'm actually saving this comment for future reference. The fax tip is brilliant - I never would have thought of that but it makes sense that it might get faster attention. And you're so right about documenting everything. I learned that lesson the hard way with a different government agency issue last year. Having that paper trail saved me when things got complicated. Thanks for taking the time to share all these practical steps! 🙏
