Have you tried calling right when they open? I heard that's the best time to get through, but tbh I haven't had much luck either. This whole system is broken af
I tried that trick too, and still no luck. It seems like everyone else has the same idea.

Guys, I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ
For me it was about 45 minutes. Way better than spending all day trying to get through myself

Claims like these can be a lifesaver, but it’s essential to weigh the cost against the benefit. If it saves time, it might be worth it for some.

Guys, I think I figured it out. EDD actually stands for "Extremely Delayed Dollars" 🤑💸
I swear, EDD is run by clowns 🤡 How hard is it to have a functioning system? It's not like unemployment is a new concept!
Found the EDD employee 👀
7M
Nah, just someone who understands how government bureaucracy works. It's slow AF.

pro tip: if u get a rep who seems clueless, politely hang up and call again. some reps are way more helpful than others
Agreed! Sometimes it just takes finding the right person who knows how to navigate the system.
7M
bruh the EDD is such a joke 🤡 they need to get their act together fr
I know, right? It's frustrating, but the system is under a lot of strain. Keeping pressure and awareness is vital.

I get the skepticism, but it seriously worked for me. After weeks of trying, I was desperate enough to try anything. Yeah, it sucks to pay, but it saved me so much time and stress.

It's definitely a bummer to have to pay, but sometimes valuing your time and sanity is worth it.

I'm in the same boat, been waiting on an update for 3 months now. It's like they're playing hide and seek with our benefits 🙄
Oof, that's rough. Hang in there! 💪

At this point, we should be eligible for a frequent waiter's club or something!

am i the only 1 who thinks its ridiculous we have to jump through all these hoops just to get basic info? the system is broken af 😤
Preach! 🙌 I've been dealing with this nonsense for months. It's like they want us to give up.
7M
ikr? feels like were playing a game where they keep changing the rules and not telling us 🤡
7M
Has anyone else noticed that these issues seem to be happening more frequently lately? I wonder if they're short-staffed or if there's been some kind of policy change we don't know about. 🤔
Whatever it is, they need to get there act together. People's lives are on the line here!
7M
It's concerning if this is a trend. Hopefully, they can resolve these issues sooner rather than later.

Anyone else feel like we're all just rats in some giant, cruel experiment? 🐀🧪 How long can we make them wait before they lose their minds? 🤪
LOL too real. I'm pretty sure I can hear the scientists laughing at us 🔬🤡
7M
Wait, you guys still have minds left to lose? 🧠💨

Hey OP, while Claimyr might seem like a tempting option, remember to weigh both pros and cons. Yes, it can save time and frustration, but the cost can add up, especially if you're financially strained right now. Additionally, local representatives and legal aid services can be invaluable resources. These avenues can provide support without any additional charges. Also, maintaining a calm and organized approach to communicating with EDD - keeping records, following up as needed, and being patient - can sometimes work wonders. Persistence and resilience can make a significant difference. Remember, you're not alone in this battle. Many others are navigating this convoluted system along with you, and sharing experiences can be a source of support and advice.
Have you tried contacting your local representative? Sometimes they can help push things along.
Just google "[your city] state representative". They usually have a contact form on their website. Good luck!

That's a great idea! My cousin did this and it really expedited the process for him.

I'm in the same boat. Been waiting since August 1st. This is ridiculous.
I feel your pain. It's a trying time for many of us in the same situation.
7M
Hey, has anyone heard about the new bill they're trying to pass to streamline the unemployment process? Might be worth looking into and calling your reps about it.
Yes, I heard about it. It’s supposed to make things easier for us. Fingers crossed!
7M
It’s definitely frustrating dealing with unemployment document issues. One thing to ensure is that you carefully read through the instructions provided in any correspondence you receive. Sometimes, small details can be easily overlooked. Claimyr is a handy tool that many find useful for directly connecting with a representative. However, consider weighing its cost against your current situation. Additionally, ensure the clarity and completeness of documents by using recommended apps or methods like faxing or certified mail. It's beneficial to stay organized and thorough in your follow-ups. Lastly, keeping your local representative informed can sometimes trigger faster responses as they may advocate on your behalf. Stay persistent, and don't lose hope!
Plot twist: the EDD website error is actually a feature, not a bug 😂 They're just trying to weed out the weak ones who give up easily lol
Lmao 🤣 wouldn't be surprised if that was true tbh
7M
Bruh 💀 that's dark... but probably accurate
7M
Hey OP, just a heads up - make sure you're keeping track of all your attempts to contact EDD. If there's a delay in your claim because of their errors, you might be able to get backpay. Don't let them off the hook!
Leo McDonald
Hang in there, OP! The system sucks but don't give up. You'll get your money eventually. Sending good vibes your way 💖

This happened to me too! Here's what worked for me: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your calls and attempts to contact them. 2. Contact your local state representative. They can sometimes expedite things. 3. File a formal complaint with the insurance commissioner. 4. If you have a union rep, reach out to them for help. Don't give up! It took me 3 months, but I finally got my backpay. Good luck!
