CalWORKs benefits delayed on deposit date? MyCAlWIN showing maintenance - anyone else?

Anyone else having issues with their CalWORKs benefits today (9th)? My cash aid is ALWAYS deposited by midnight on the 9th of each month, but nothing has shown up in my account yet. When I tried to check MyCAlWIN to see what's going on, the entire system says it's down for maintenance! I've got rent due in 3 days and was counting on this money. Is this happening to everyone or just me? Starting to panic because my landlord doesn't exactly accept excuses...

Same here!! Was up at 6am checking my account over and over. NOTHING. Called the EBT customer service and the automated system says my balance is $0.00 when I should have gotten my payment today too. MyCAlWIN being down at the same time feels suspicious. Maybe they're having some kind of system issue?

This happened last month too but only for like 3-4 hours. My worker told me they do system updates sometimes that delay the deposits. Mine usually hits at 12:01am but last month it didn't show up until like 11am. Try checking again later today.

Thanks for letting me know! Did your benefits eventually show up in full? I'm worried they're making cuts or something without telling us. I've been on edge ever since they made me reapply after missing my SAR7 deadline by ONE day back in January.

This is a known issue happening across multiple counties today. I just got off the phone with my CalWORKs office (finally!) after calling for 2 hours straight. They confirmed there's a statewide system problem affecting benefit deposits and the MyCAlWIN portal. The worker told me they're working to resolve it and benefits should post by end of day today, but it could take until tomorrow morning in some cases. They're not supposed to be delayed more than 24 hours. Hope this helps ease some worries!

How did you even get through to a real person?? I've been calling the county number since 8AM and keep getting disconnected after 30+ minutes on hold. Did you use a special number or something? I'm about to drive down to the office but I know the wait will be insane with everyone having this problem.

I was having the same problem this morning! Just wanted to update that my benefits finally showed up about 30 minutes ago (it's 2:45pm now). Check your accounts again everyone! The system must be slowly catching up. And yes, MyCAlWIN is still down for me too.

For anyone still struggling to get through to their county office, I used Claimyr (claimyr.com) last month when I had a similar issue and they got me connected to a real CalWORKs worker in about 15 minutes. Saved me hours of hold time and repeated calls. UPDATE: My benefits just posted at 4:32pm! From what the worker told me, they had a major system update that went wrong last night and it affected the automatic payment processing. Everyone should get their benefits by tonight, but if you don't see them by tomorrow morning, you should definitely call your county office.

FINAL UPDATE: My benefits FINALLY posted at 7:15pm! Nearly a whole day late, but at least they're there. The maintenance on MyCAlWIN is over too - the system is back up. Thanks everyone for confirming it wasn't just me having problems. This forum is seriously a lifesaver sometimes.

Glad you got your money! I feel like these system issues are happening more and more lately. Maybe write down the date this happened so if they ever try to discontinue you for "not using your benefits" you can prove it was their system error. That happened to my cousin last year!
