EDD case closed due to missing paystub, but I submitted it. How to get case reviewed?
Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle. My unemployment case was closed because of a missing paystub, but I've already submitted it. Now I can't seem to get anyone to review and process my case. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any advice on how to get them to look at my case again?

Ugh, I feel your pain. The system is so broken rn. I had a similar issue last month. Have you tried calling them? It's a nightmare, but sometimes that's the only way to get things moving.

I've been trying to call for days, but I can never get through. It's so frustrating! 😤

Pro tip: call right when they open. Like, set an alarm and everything. Sometimes you can get lucky and snag a spot in the queue before it fills up.

Calling is useless. I spent 3 hours on hold last week only to get disconnected. The whole system is a joke 🤡

Have you tried submitting your paystub again through the online portal? Sometimes their system glitches and doesn't register uploads properly. Might be worth a shot.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/iYFSA6RTlOI

Sounds too good to be true. Does it really work?

Yeah, it actually does. I was skeptical at first too, but I was desperate. Got through in about 2 hours without having to sit by my phone the whole time.

$20 just to talk to someone? That's ridiculous. The system is so broken if we have to pay just to get basic service 🤦♂️

I get it, but for me, it was worth it. Saved me days of frustration and missed work trying to call myself.

Here's what worked for me: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your calls, emails, and submissions. 2. Reach out to your local state representative. They often have contacts in the unemployment office and can escalate your case. 3. Be persistent but polite. It's frustrating, but the people you eventually talk to aren't responsible for the system's failures. 4. Check your spam folder regularly. Sometimes important emails end up there. 5. If possible, visit an unemployment office in person. It's a hassle, but face-to-face interactions can sometimes yield better results. Hang in there, OP. The system is a mess, but don't give up!

Thank you so much for this detailed advice! I'll definitely try reaching out to my state rep. Didn't even think of that.

I'm in the exact same boat, OP. Been trying to get my case reviewed for weeks. This whole unemployment system is held together with duct tape and prayers at this point 🙄

Duct tape and prayers 🤣 That's the most accurate description I've heard yet!

Not sure if this helps, but I've heard some people have had luck reaching out through social media. Try tweeting at the unemployment office or messaging them on Facebook. Sometimes public pressure can get results.

guys. we need to organize and do something about this. its not ok that so many of us are struggling to get basic help. maybe we should start a petition or contact local news?
