EDD claim disappeared after maxing out benefits - need denial letter ASAP!

Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle. I maxed out my state unemployment benefit and now my claim has disappeared from the system. It was pending for a while, but now it's just gone. I really need to get a claim denial letter for work. Any advice on how to handle this situation? The office is closing soon and I'm worried about what to do next.

Ugh, that sucks. I've been there before. Have you tried calling the unemployment office? Sometimes they can help you get that denial letter pretty quick.

I've been trying to call all day, but no luck getting through. It's so frustrating!

Pro tip: call right when they open in the morning. That's how I finally got through after weeks of trying.

Calling is useless these days. I spent hours on hold and got nowhere. There's gotta be a better way 🤔

I found a method that actually works to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

$20? That's highway robbery! The government should make it easier to reach them without paying extra.

I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Sometimes you gotta spend money to make money, ya know?

Have you checked your online account? Sometimes there's a message or document explaining why your claim status changed. Might save you a phone call.

This whole system is so broken. I've been dealing with similar issues for months now. It's like they want us to give up and go away. Don't let them win, OP! Keep fighting for what you're owed!

It's not a bug, it's a feature 🤡

Here's what you need to do: 1. Document everything. Take screenshots of your account, save any emails or messages you've received. 2. Write a formal request for a claim denial letter. Include your full name, SSN, and claim ID if you have it. 3. Send this request via certified mail to your local unemployment office. Keep the receipt! 4. While waiting for a response, try to get through on the phone. Use the tips others have shared here. 5. If you don't hear back within 10 business days, follow up with another call or letter. 6. Consider reaching out to your local state representative. They often have staff dedicated to helping constituents with unemployment issues. 7. As a last resort, you might want to consult with an employment lawyer. Many offer free consultations. Remember, you have the right to this information. Don't give up!
