Weekly ESD claim stuck in 'web, processing' status - normal payment delay?
I submitted my weekly unemployment claim online Sunday night like usual, but it's Tuesday and my status is still showing 'web, processing' in my eServices account. Normally by Tuesday afternoon my deposit is pending in my bank account, but nothing yet. My bills are due Friday and I'm starting to get nervous. Anyone else file their weekly claim online and actually get paid yet? Or is everyone else also stuck on 'web, processing'? Will the money probably show up tomorrow or should I be worried something's wrong with my claim this week?

Mine says the same thing 'web, processing' and normally I get paid by Tuesday too. I called the automated line and it says my payment was issued today, but nothing in my bank account yet. The ESD website has been really glitchy lately so maybe there's a system-wide delay?

•Thanks for letting me know it's not just me! I didn't think to call the automated line. What number did you call to check that? I should probably do the same thing.

My payment was late last week too. It said web processing for like 3 days then suddenly showed up in my account. I think they're having some delays right now bc of system maintenance or something. As long as your claim doesn't have any issues you'll probably get paid tomorrow.

•That's a relief to hear. I was worried I might have messed something up on my weekly claim. I answered everything the same as always but you never know when something might trigger an issue.

There's definitely a processing delay this week. I spoke with an ESD agent this morning who confirmed they're experiencing system slowdowns affecting payment processing. The agent said most payments that would normally process Tuesday are going out Wednesday instead. As long as your claim status shows 'web, processing' (not 'pending' or 'adjudication'), your payment should be coming - just delayed by about 24 hours.

•Wow, you actually got through to a real person? I've been trying to call for weeks and always get the 'high call volume' message. How did you manage to talk to an actual agent?

I was in the same situation last month and couldn't get through on the phone for days. Finally used a service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that got me connected to an ESD agent in about 20 minutes. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ?si=26TzE_zGms-DODN3. The agent confirmed there was nothing wrong with my claim, just a processing delay. Definitely worth it when you're stressing about whether your money is coming or not.

•Does that service actually work? I've been trying to call ESD for THREE WEEKS about my adjudication and keep getting the stupid recording. Might try anything at this point.

•Yeah, it worked for me. Was skeptical but it connected me pretty quick. They basically just keep calling ESD on your behalf until they get through, then transfer the call to you. Saved me from constantly redialing all day.

JUST GOT PAID!!! Mine was saying 'web, processing' all day but I just checked my bank account and the deposit is pending now. It's about 8 hours later than normal but it's there. Check your accounts again!

•Just checked and still nothing in my account. :( Maybe mine will come through overnight. I'll update tomorrow if it finally shows up.

FYI sometimes the status says "web processing" even when there's a problem. Last month mine said that for days but turned out I had answered one of the job search questions wrong and they were holding my payment. The problem is you don't know if it's just slow or if there's an actual issue until it's too late. The whole system is so frustrating!!!

•True! And if you wait too long thinking it's just slow, then you waste a week before discovering there's an actual problem. The worst is when you finally get through and they tell you they needed info from you that they never asked for.

•Great, now I'm worried again. Did you have to call to find out what was wrong with your claim? How long did it take to resolve once you knew what the problem was?

yeah i had to call like 50 times before getting through. took another week to fix after that. but dont panic yet, sounds like lots of people are delayed this week so probably just the system being slow

•Thanks. I'm going to give it until tomorrow afternoon. If nothing by then, I'll try calling or maybe try that Claimyr service someone mentioned above. I'll update here either way in case anyone else is in the same boat.

UPDATE: Payment finally hit my account this morning! Looks like it was just delayed by a day. Relief! Thanks everyone for the reassurance.

•Got mine too! Just a system delay after all. Glad it worked out for everyone.
