How long does TWC deposit take with Chase Bank? Payment timing question

Hey everyone, I just got my TWC claim approved after waiting FOREVER (3 weeks felt like 3 years lol). I set up direct deposit with my Chase checking account. For those of y'all with Chase, how long does it typically take for the TWC unemployment payment to hit your account after the payment request processes? The TWC website says 2-3 business days but I'm wondering if Chase is faster or slower than that. Really need this money to hit by Friday to cover rent!

congrats on getting approved! with my chase account, payments always show up exactly 2 business days after TWC says the payment was processed. like clockwork every time

Thanks! That's super helpful to know. Do the funds clear immediately or is there a hold?

Chase deposits from TWC are FASTER than most banks!!! Mine always come the next business day after processing, sometimes even same day if TWC processes it early enough. Much better than my old bank that took 3-4 days. Make sure your account number is correct though - I typed mine wrong once and it took 2 weeks to get fixed.

Not my experience at all. Chase always takes exactly 2 business days for me too. Never seen it come early.

With Chase Bank, TWC unemployment direct deposits typically arrive within 1-2 business days after the payment has been processed. This is generally faster than the paper check option, which can take 7-10 days to arrive in the mail. A few tips to ensure smooth deposits: 1. Verify your Chase account number is entered correctly in your TWC profile 2. Check your TWC payment status on the TWC website or Tele-Serv (800-558-8321) 3. Remember that weekends and holidays don't count as business days If your payment shows as processed on Monday, you should typically see it in your Chase account by Wednesday at the latest.

This is exactly what I needed to know - thank you! I'll definitely keep an eye on my account Tuesday and Wednesday then.

I've had Chase for years while on unemployment (went through a long period of partial unemployment). Here's what I've noticed: - Regular UI benefits: 1-2 business days after processing - First payment after initial approval: Sometimes takes 1 day longer - After any appeal or claim issue resolution: Can take up to 3 days Also, payments processed on Fridays sometimes don't hit until Tuesday due to the weekend. Hope that helps with planning for your rent!

This is actually wrong information. Chase doesn't treat different types of TWC payments differently. The bank has no way of knowing if it's your first payment or after an appeal. The timing is based on when TWC initiates the ACH transfer, not what "type" of payment it is.

Thanks! Seems like 2 days is the consensus. Fingers crossed it comes through in time!

If you're waiting on an important payment and need to reach TWC to confirm the status, I'd recommend using Claimyr to get through to a TWC agent quickly. I was in the same situation last month waiting on a payment that didn't show up in my Chase account when expected. Spent days trying to call TWC with no luck, then found Claimyr (claimyr.com). They got me connected to a TWC agent in about 15 minutes who confirmed my payment was actually held up due to an ID verification issue I didn't know about. You can see how it works in their video demo: https://youtu.be/V-IMvH88P1U?si=kNxmh025COIlIzKh

Is this service legit?? Sounds too good to be true after I've wasted HOURS trying to get through to TWC!!!

just make sure ur actually approved & not just "eligible". my husband thought he was all set but turned out he needed to submit more docs. chase is pretty fast usually, we see the money by day 2.

Good point! I double-checked and it does say approved and that the payment was processed yesterday, so should be good!

I've been using Chase for my TWC deposits for about 6 months now and they're pretty reliable. Like others have said, it's usually 2 business days after TWC processes the payment. One thing I learned though - check your TWC account online to see the exact date they show the payment as "processed" because sometimes there's a delay between when they say it's approved vs when it actually gets sent to your bank. Also, Chase usually posts deposits early in the morning (around 3-6 AM) so you might wake up to see it there! Hope you get your rent money in time 🤞

That's really helpful about checking the exact "processed" date vs "approved" date! I didn't realize there could be a difference. I'll make sure to look for that distinction when I check my TWC account. And good to know about the early morning deposits - I'll probably be checking my phone first thing tomorrow morning haha. Thanks for the encouragement! 🙏

I've been getting TWC payments through Chase for about 4 months now and can confirm what most others are saying - it's consistently 2 business days after TWC shows the payment as "processed" (not just approved). One tip that really helped me: set up mobile alerts in your Chase app for deposits over a certain amount so you get notified as soon as it hits. Also, if you're cutting it close for rent like you mentioned, some landlords will accept a screenshot of your TWC payment status showing it's processed as proof that payment is coming - worth asking if you're worried about timing!

That's a great tip about setting up mobile alerts! I just enabled that in my Chase app - wish I had thought of that sooner. And wow, I never would have thought to ask my landlord about accepting a screenshot of the TWC payment status. That's actually brilliant and could really save me some stress if the timing is tight. Thanks for sharing that practical advice!

I've been using Chase for TWC deposits for over a year now and can definitely confirm the 2 business day timeline everyone's mentioning. One thing that might help ease your stress - you can actually track the ACH transfer status through Chase's online banking once TWC initiates it. Just look under "Pending Transactions" and you'll often see it show up there before it officially posts to your available balance. This gave me peace of mind when I was in similar situations waiting for rent money. Also, if you're really tight on timing, some Chase branches can provide you with a letter showing pending deposits if you explain your situation - might help with your landlord if needed. Best of luck getting it sorted before Friday!

This is super helpful! I had no idea you could see pending ACH transfers in Chase online banking before they post. I'm going to log in right now and check for that. And the tip about getting a letter from Chase showing pending deposits is genius - I never would have thought banks would do that but it makes total sense for situations like this. Really appreciate you taking the time to share these practical tips from your experience. Gives me hope that even if timing gets tight, there might be options to work with my landlord. Thanks so much!

I've been getting my TWC payments through Chase for about 8 months now, and here's what I've consistently experienced: it's always exactly 2 business days after TWC shows "payment processed" on their website. Never earlier, never later. The key thing is to make sure you're looking at the "processed" date, not the "approved" date - there can sometimes be a day or two difference between those. One thing that really helped me when I was in your exact situation (needing money for rent) was calling my landlord ahead of time to explain the situation. Most are understanding if you give them a heads up and can show proof that the payment is coming. You can screenshot your TWC payment status page showing it's processed and the expected deposit date. Also, Chase usually posts these deposits very early in the morning (around 3-5 AM), so you'll likely see it first thing when you wake up rather than having to wait all day. Good luck with your rent situation!

This is really reassuring to hear from someone with 8 months of experience! The distinction between "approved" and "processed" dates seems super important - I'm going to double check that right now on my TWC account to make sure I'm looking at the right timeline. And you're absolutely right about being proactive with the landlord communication. I think I'll give them a call today to explain the situation and offer to show them the TWC payment status screenshot. Knowing that Chase posts so early in the morning actually makes me feel better too - at least I won't be anxiously checking all day Friday! Thanks for the practical advice and reassurance. 🙏
