PA UC payment timing after open issues cleared? Zero issues but no funds yet

Good news! My open issues on my PA UC claim finally went to zero today after dealing with an employment verification problem for almost 3 weeks. The dashboard shows my claim is now 'active' with no open issues, but I'm confused about when I'll actually see the money. I've got 4 weeks of weekly certifications that are listed as 'payable' but no payment number or transaction date has appeared yet. For anyone who's been through this - how long does it typically take for your funds to hit your Money Network card after the open issues are resolved? I've got rent due in 5 days and I'm getting nervous! Thanks in advance for any insight!

congrats on getting the issues cleared up! mine took about 2 business days after the issues went to zero before i got a payment number, and then another day before the money was on my card. so probably thurs/fri this week if yours just cleared today

Thanks so much! That's a big relief. I wasn't sure if we were talking days or weeks for processing. Fingers crossed it follows that timeline!

I've had the exact same situation last month. The payment doesn't process automatically just because the issues clear. They STILL have to do a manual review of your back weeks. When I called, the UC rep told me that now that the issues are cleared, I needed to wait for the

8 days?! Oh no, that's definitely past when my rent is due. Did you call them during that waiting period or just let the process work itself out?

I called twice during that period. First time they just said to wait. Second time (day 6) the rep actually escalated it as urgent because of my housing situation, and the money appeared two days later. I think the squeaky wheel gets the grease sometimes.

Be carefull!! Just because it says zero issues doesnt actualy mean its fixed!!! My claim said zero issues for 2 days then suddenly went BACK to having an issue and I had to start all over again with the verification!!! Make sure you take screenshots of EVERYTHING on your dashboard every day until you get paid!!!

Oh god, that sounds like a nightmare. Thanks for the heads up - I'll start taking daily screenshots right away. Did they ever explain why your issues came back?

Here's what's actually happening behind the scenes with your claim (I worked as a UC examiner until 2023):\n\n1. Once issues clear to zero, your claim enters the payment queue\n2. The payment processing system runs batch processes at set times (usually overnight)\n3. After processing, you'll get a payment number assigned\n4. The Treasury Dept then processes the actual transfer to your Money Network card\n\nTypical timeline:\n- Day 1: Issues clear to zero\n- Day 2-3: Payment number assigned\n- Day 3-4: Funds available on card\n\nHowever, if you have multiple back weeks, they might process in batches rather than all at once. The system prioritizes oldest weeks first, so you might see partial payments come through in stages.

Thank you so much for this detailed explanation! This really helps me understand what's happening. Do you know if there's any way to check where my claim is in the payment queue? The dashboard is so limited.

Unfortunately, there's no way for claimants to see the payment queue status. The internal processing system (CCS) shows this information to examiners, but the public-facing dashboard is very limited. However, if a payment number hasn't appeared within 4 business days, that's when I'd recommend calling to check if there's an unexpected delay.

If you need to reach someone at PA UC quickly, I highly recommend using Claimyr (claimyr.com). I was in a similar situation where my open issues cleared but my payments weren't processing. After trying for 2 days with the regular phone line and getting nowhere, I used Claimyr and got through to a representative in about 20 minutes. The rep was able to manually release my payment that same day. You can see how it works in this video: https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E?si=WL1ZzVZWG3KiHrg2. It's worth it when you're facing urgent financial deadlines.

Is that service legit? I've seen it mentioned before but was worried it might be a scam since the regular unemployment line is supposed to be free.

Yes, it's legitimate. What they do is navigate PA's phone system for you and get you in the call queue, then connect you directly with PA UC. You're still talking to the actual unemployment office representatives, not third-party people. I was skeptical too but got desperate after spending hours redialing.

when my issues cleared last month it took 5 business days for the money to show up on my money network card. but my sisters went through in 2 days. i think it depends on how many weeks your claiming all at once too. the more weeks the longer it takes to process everything.

That makes sense - I'm claiming 4 weeks all at once so it could take longer to process everything. Thanks for sharing your experience!

UPDATE: Called UC this morning and managed to get through after about 40 minutes. The rep confirmed all my weeks are approved for payment but said there's a processing backlog. She flagged my account as urgent due to my rent situation, and said I should see at least some of the payments post within 48 hours. Will update again when/if I see movement. Thanks everyone for your help!

FINAL UPDATE: Just wanted to close the loop here - my first two weeks of payments hit my Money Network card this morning! The rep was right about them processing in batches. Hopefully the other two weeks will clear soon, but this is enough to cover rent. Thanks again to everyone who helped me understand the process.

Congrats on getting your payments! This thread is super helpful for understanding the PA UC payment timeline. I'm currently dealing with a similar situation - my open issues cleared 3 days ago but still waiting for payment numbers to appear. Reading through everyone's experiences here gives me hope that it should process soon. The tip about taking daily screenshots is gold - definitely doing that now. Thanks for sharing your whole journey from start to finish!
