PA UC open issues resolved? Payment date showing but still waiting for money
I've been dealing with 2 open issues on my PA unemployment claim for almost a month now. For 3 straight weeks I got NOTHING - no payments, no updates, just that annoying "open issues" status. But when I checked this morning, I'm seeing a payment date and payment numbers in my portal! Does this actually mean I'm getting paid soon? Has anyone had this happen before? Will the money actually hit my Money Network card or is this just another false hope? I'm literally down to my last $50 and rent is due next week. Trying not to get too excited in case it's a system error or something...

•Omg really?? That's such a relief! Did they pay you for all the weeks they missed or just going forward?

When your account shows a payment date and payment numbers, it typically means your open issues have been resolved and payment has been authorized. The money should appear on your Money Network card within 2-3 business days after the payment date posted. If your payment date is today, you'll likely receive funds by the end of the week. Keep in mind that your first payment might take slightly longer as they process any backpay for the weeks you missed. The system should automatically include all eligible weeks you certified for during the waiting period.

What were your open issues about?? I've been waiting FIVE WEEKS with open issues on my claim and still nothing showing!!! Did you do something special to make them finally review your claim? I've called like 100 times and can never get through!!! SO FRUSTRATED!!!

•One was something about my identity verification and the other was about my job separation reason. I didn't do anything special - I tried calling too but kept getting busy signals. I think they just finally got to my claim in their backlog. Sorry you're still waiting, that really sucks :

I was stuck in the same boat last month with my UC claim. After weeks of trying to get through on the phone, I found this service called Claimyr that helped me actually reach a PA UC agent without all the busy signals and waiting. I was skeptical at first but their system actually works - they hold your place in line and call you when you're about to connect with an agent. I was able to get my open issues resolved in one call. They have a video showing how it works at https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E?si=WL1ZzVZWG3KiHrg2 and their website is claimyr.com if you want to check it out. It definitely saved me weeks of stress.

A payment date and payment numbers are definitely good signs, but I recommend taking a screenshot of what you're seeing right now. In some cases, the system can show payment information prematurely or there could be additional verification steps required. The normal process is: 1. Open issues resolved 2. Payment date/numbers appear in system 3. Funds transferred to Money Network card (1-3 business days) 4. Payment status changes to "Paid" What does your claim status say now? Does it still show open issues or has it changed to "Eligible" or "Benefits Paid"? This can help determine if you're fully cleared for payment.

•Thanks for the detailed info! My status changed from "Open Issues" to "Benefits Paid" and there's a transaction number listed. So it sounds like I'm good to go? I took a screenshot just in case.

this happened to me to. showed payment date for like 3 days before the money actually hit my card. then they retroactively paid all the weeks i missed while the issues were open. btw if u need money faster you can call the money network number and ask them to expedite your card for a fee. sometimes worth it if ur really broke and waiting.

•That's great to hear they paid you for the missed weeks! I'm hoping they do the same for me since that would be almost $1600 in backpay. Thanks for the tip about expediting!

I remember when I had open issues the system would show random things all the time but at least in my case it was a good sign when the payment date appeared! They ended up disqualifying me for 2 weeks because of how I answered the job search questions (be careful with those!) but then approved me going forward. Hopefully you get ALL your money!

•Oh that's interesting - I wonder if that's what happened with one of my weeks. The job search requirements are so confusing sometimes. Did they ever explain exactly what you did wrong with the questions?

Since your status has changed to "Benefits Paid" with a transaction number, you're in excellent shape. That confirms the payment has been processed and is on its way to your Money Network card. At this point, it's just waiting for the banking transfer to complete, which typically takes 1-3 business days depending on when the payment was initiated. Regarding your backpay question - yes, you should receive payment for all eligible weeks you certified for during the waiting period. The system automatically includes those weeks once your issues are resolved, as long as you properly filed your weekly certifications during that time. If you're missing any weeks when the payment arrives, that would be the time to contact them.

•That's such a relief to hear! I've been certified properly every week even though no money was coming through. Fingers crossed I see the funds by Friday. Thanks for all the helpful information!
