PA UC payment shows amount but no transaction number - when will I get paid?
Finally got some good news after 8 weeks of waiting! My PA unemployment claim was approved this Friday around noon. When I check my account now, I can see the payment amount, deduction amount, and dependent allowance which weren't there before. But there's still no transaction # or payment # showing up. Does anyone know if these numbers only appear on the actual day they release payment? Or should they already be showing if they've processed everything? I'm anxious because I've got rent due next week and need to know exactly when I'll see the money hit my Money Network card.

Congrats on getting approved! The transaction number typically shows up when they actually process the payment, not just when they approve your claim. In my experience, if you got approved on Friday, the transaction number will probably show up Monday or Tuesday, and then funds should be on your card 1-2 business days after that. So you're likely looking at Wednesday or Thursday for the money to be available.

•Thank you! That's a relief to hear. So i shouldnt panic that theres no transaction # yet? I was worried they might have approved me but then had another issue come up or something.

•Not always true. It actually depends on your bank. Mine appears 24 hours after the transaction number shows up. Some banks hold it longer. PA UC processes payments in batches, so Friday approvals often don't enter the payment queue until the next business day.

You should call and check!!! I had a similar situation in March and thought everything was fine but turns out they still had a HOLD on my account even though it showed amounts!!! I waited TWO WEEKS thinking money was coming and it NEVER DID until I called!!!

•Oh no, that's concerning. Did you eventually get it resolved? How long did it take after you called?

•Yes but ONLY after I called! They had to remove some stupid flag on my account that wasn't even showing up on my end! The money came 3 days after I finally got through to someone. DON'T WAIT like I did!!!

I've been through this exact situation. When you see payment amounts but no transaction number, it means they've calculated what you're eligible for but haven't released the payment yet. PA UC typically processes the actual payments in batches on business days. Since your approval happened Friday afternoon, the payment processing likely won't happen until Monday. You should see a transaction number appear Monday or Tuesday, and then funds will be available on your Money Network card 1-2 business days after that. So realistically, you're looking at Wednesday or Thursday for the money to be usable. If you don't see a transaction number by Tuesday afternoon, that's when I'd start getting concerned. But right now everything sounds normal for a Friday approval.

•Thanks for the detailed explanation. That helps me understand the process better. I'll wait until Tuesday before I start worrying then!

I had a really hard time getting through to PA UC about a payment issue last month. Kept calling the 888 number and just got busy signals for days. Someone recommended I try Claimyr (claimyr.com) and it actually worked - got through to an agent in about 20 minutes. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E?si=WL1ZzVZWG3KiHrg2 If you don't see your transaction number by Tuesday, might be worth checking out instead of stressing about it. The agent I spoke with was able to tell me exactly when my payment would process and what was causing the delay.

Here's the actual payment process timeline for PA UC: 1. Claim approval (what you've reached) 2. Payment calculation (the amounts you're seeing) 3. Payment authorization (when transaction # appears) 4. Payment processing (1-2 business days) 5. Fund availability on Money Network card Since your approval happened on Friday, the authorization (step 3) will likely happen Monday. Keep in mind that PA UC doesn't process payments on weekends. You're currently at step 2, which is normal for a Friday approval. Just keep checking your portal daily, and you should see progress by Tuesday at the latest.

UPDATE: You guys were right! Just checked this morning (Monday) and now I see a transaction number has appeared! The payment status says "paid" with today's date. So relieved! Thanks everyone for the help and reassurance.

•Great news! Glad to hear it's processing. You should have the funds available on your Money Network card in 1-2 business days now. Make sure you've activated your card if this is your first payment.

Congrats on getting the transaction number! That's exactly how it worked for me too - approved Friday, transaction number Monday morning. Just a heads up that when the money hits your Money Network card, you might want to check if there are any ATM fees at your usual locations. Some people don't realize the card has specific fee-free ATM networks. Also, if you need to make a large purchase or pay rent, you can usually do a cash advance at certain banks or use it for direct payments. The money should be available by Wednesday at the latest!

•Thanks for the tip about ATM fees! I hadn't even thought about that yet. Do you know which ATM networks are fee-free with the Money Network card? And good point about the cash advance option - I might need that for my rent payment since my landlord doesn't take cards.
