PA UC payment missing transaction number - should I be worried?
I filed my weekly PA unemployment claim on Sunday like usual, and it's showing as 'processed' in my dashboard. The payment amount ($465) shows up in my payment history, but there's no transaction number next to it like all my previous payments had. Is something wrong? Will the money still be deposited to my Money Network card? This is week 7 of my benefit year and I've never seen this happen before. I really need this money for rent due next week and I'm getting worried.

Don't panic yet. Sometimes the transaction number takes 24-48 hours to appear after the payment is processed. Has the status changed from "processed" to "paid"? That's the more important indicator. As long as it shows the correct amount and the status is moving forward, you should still receive the deposit on schedule.

•Thanks for replying! It still just says "processed" and not "paid" yet. I guess I should wait another day? My previous weeks all had the transaction number show up immediately after processing.

I had this exact issue back in January. The transaction number was missing for about 36 hours, then suddenly appeared. The money hit my Money Network card on the regular schedule. The UC system sometimes has these little glitches that fix themselves, especially during their maintenance periods.

The SAME THING happened to me but my money NEVER came!!!! I waited 2 weeks with no transaction number and had to call PA UC like 50 times before someone picked up! They told me there was an "account issue" they needed to fix manually. DON'T WAIT - call them NOW before you end up like me having to borrow money for groceries!!!

•Oh no, that's scary! Did they fix your issue? How long did it take after you talked to someone?

•After I finally got through to someone it took another WEEK for them to fix it. They said something about a "data validation error" whatever that means. The system is totally broken. Just keep calling until someone helps you!!

My husband had this problem with his unemployment payment last month. It was because he answered one of the weekly questions differently than previous weeks (he said no to being able to work one day due to a medical appointment). Could you have answered something differently this week?

•I don't think so? I answered everything the same as always. I was available all days, looked for work, and reported no earnings. But maybe I clicked something wrong without noticing...

If you need to reach PA UC quickly about this issue, I'd recommend using Claimyr. I was having a similar problem with missing transaction numbers that wasn't resolving itself, and I was getting desperate after days of busy signals. Claimyr got me connected to a UC rep in about 20 minutes who fixed my issue on the spot. Their website is claimyr.com and they have a video demo showing how it works: https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E?si=WL1ZzVZWG3KiHrg2 The rep told me that sometimes payments get flagged for additional verification when there's a system update, even if nothing's wrong with your claim. Better to get it resolved quickly than stress for days.

•Thanks for the suggestion! I'll give it until tomorrow morning, and if the transaction number still isn't there, I'll try Claimyr. I've wasted so many hours trying to get through on the regular line before.

•This is the most common outcome - the system updates overnight and the transaction number appears. About 90% of these cases resolve themselves within 48 hours with no action needed.

UPDATE: The transaction number finally appeared this morning! Status changed to "paid" too. Looks like it was just a delay in the system. Thanks everyone for your help and for calming my anxiety!

•Great news! This is exactly what happened in my case. The PA UC system has these quirks sometimes, but as long as you've been following all the rules and requirements, the payments usually come through. Make sure you keep doing your work search activities every week - that's the most common reason for payment delays.
