PA UC payment showing 'In Progress' with N/A paydate on dashboard using Chime - anyone else?
I filed my weekly claim on Monday (3/11/25) and something weird is happening. I normally get my PA unemployment deposit the very next day since I use Chime. It's never failed before - like clockwork for the past 4 months. But I just checked my dashboard and the benefit paydate shows 'in progress' and the paydate field says 'N/A'! My heart literally dropped. I don't have any open issues showing on my claim and everything else looks normal. Has anyone else experienced this this week? Is the PA UC system glitching or should I be worried? Really counting on this money for rent next week!!

•That makes me feel a little better that I'm not alone! Wonder what's going on with their system this time. Have you tried calling them?

There appears to be a payment processing delay affecting claims filed this week. I just got off the phone with a PA UC service center agent who confirmed they're experiencing a system-wide issue with payment processing. They said it's affecting many claimants, especially those with direct deposit to online banks like Chime, Current, etc. The agent assured me payments are being processed but may be delayed by 1-2 business days. No action is needed on your part unless your payment status doesn't change by Friday.

•HOW did you actually get through to someone?? I've been calling all morning and keep getting busy signals or getting disconnected after waiting 45+ minutes!! This is ridiculous! Every time there's an issue it's IMPOSSIBLE to talk to anyone!!

•Really? That gives me hope! I'll keep checking my Chime account directly then instead of just the dashboard. Fingers crossed it shows up!

I had the same issue happen back in January. The "in progress" status hung around for about 48 hours before changing to "paid". There was some kind of batch processing error they were fixing. The good news is that once it resolved, the money showed up in my Chime account immediately, even though the dashboard took another day to update. If you're really concerned, try using Claimyr (claimyr.com) to get through to an agent. I used it last time I had payment issues and got connected in 25 minutes instead of trying for days. They have a demo video here: https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E?si=WL1ZzVZWG3KiHrg2. Worth it when you need answers about your money!

•Thanks for the suggestion! If it doesn't update by tomorrow I might try that. Really need to figure out what's happening with this payment.

This is a known issue right now. I'm a career counselor who works with many UC claimants, and several have reported the same problem this week. The UC system is updating some of their payment processing protocols, and it's causing delays. From what I understand, payments are still being processed in the correct amounts, but the dashboard isn't displaying the information correctly. The technical team is aware of the issue. For claims filed 3/10-3/12, expect a 24-48 hour delay. No need to call or file any additional paperwork unless your payment doesn't appear by Friday. The system will still show your payment in your payment history once processed, even if the dashboard indicators are delayed.

My cousin works for the treasury department (not unemployment but they handle the payments) and she said they had a system upgrade over the weekend that's causing all kinds of delays. She said everything should be back to normal by end of week. Just FYI.

THIS IS INTENTIONAL!!! They ALWAYS do these "system glitches" at the beginning of the month when people have bills to pay! I've been on UC for 7 months and EVERY SINGLE TIME there's a payment issue it's always when rent is due. They hold our money to earn interest on it for a few extra days while we suffer!!!

•idk about all that. seems more like regular government incompetence than some big conspiracy

UPDATE: Just got my payment! It hit my Chime account about an hour ago, and the dashboard still shows "in progress" even though the money is already there. So for anyone else with this issue, check your actual bank account! Thanks everyone for the info and support.

•Thanks for updating us! This is exactly what the agent mentioned - the payments are processing even when the dashboard doesn't reflect it. Glad it worked out for you.
