PA UC Website Glitch - Can't Answer Weekly Claim Questions Past #2

Is anyone else struggling with the weekly certification system today? I keep getting stuck on question #2 and can't move forward at all. I've tried three different browsers (Chrome, Firefox, and Edge), restarted my computer twice, and even attempted filing through my phone - same problem everywhere! System just freezes after question #2 and the 'Next' button doesn't respond. I know they did that scheduled maintenance yesterday, but seems like they broke something instead of fixing it! My rent is due next week and I NEED this payment to process. Has anyone successfully completed their weekly certification today? Any workarounds?

I just finished my weekly certification about 20 minutes ago with no issues. It might be something specific to your claim type or your account. Sometimes when this happens, it's because there's an 'open issue' that needs to be resolved before you can proceed. Have you checked if there are any issues on your dashboard? Or any messages in your inbox?

Thanks for replying! I checked my dashboard and don't see any open issues or messages in my inbox. Everything was working fine last week. I'm on regular UC benefits, nothing special about my claim. Did you do anything different when filing today? I'm really worried because missing a week will mess up my whole payment schedule.

Ugh, I'm sorry you're dealing with this too, but honestly a little relieved I'm not the only one! Have you tried calling them yet?

This is a known issue affecting some claimants today. PA UC is aware and working on a fix. What's happening is the system is trying to present a new job search question but it's not loading correctly for some account types. You have three options: 1) Wait until tomorrow to file (you have all week to file your weekly certification) 2) Try again after 6pm tonight when they usually deploy daily fixes 3) Call the UC service center directly to file by phone Just to confirm - you're not seeing any error message, correct? The page just stops responding after question 2?

That's exactly it - no error message, the page just becomes unresponsive. Thank you for confirming this is a known issue! I'll try again tonight after 6pm. If that doesn't work, I'll try filing by phone tomorrow. Really appreciate the help!

been tryng to call all day!!! always busy or hangup on me after 30 mins. i cant wait til tomrrow i need my money now!!!

This happened to me in January too. System updates always seem to break something else! I had to keep trying for 3 days before it finally worked. So frustrating when you're depending on that money. Hope they fix it soon!

I've had luck using Claimyr (claimyr.com) to get through to an actual UC representative when I had technical issues like this. Saved me from the constant busy signals and hangups. They have a video demo at https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E?si=WL1ZzVZWG3KiHrg2 showing how it works. When I had a similar issue last month, the rep was able to take my weekly certification over the phone in about 10 minutes and confirmed my payment was processed. Might be worth considering if you need this resolved quickly.

I've never heard of this service before. Have you personally used it? Does it actually work to get through to someone?

Yes, I've used it twice - once for this certification issue and once when I had an 'open issue' that wasn't resolving. Both times I got through to an actual UC representative within an hour instead of days of trying. They just help you skip the phone queue essentially.

why is evryoe having thees weird issues?? my cousin said her freind got kicked out of the system 5 TIMES trying to do the weekly thing and she lost all her answers every time lol PA system is garbage

I'm having a completely different problem today. I can get through all the questions but then when I submit it says "Unable to process request at this time" and kicks me back to the dashboard. So frustrating! And of course you can never get anyone on the phone. I've been calling since 8AM with no luck. Quick question - are you using the Money Network card or direct deposit? Sometimes there's different issues depending on your payment method.

I'm using direct deposit. That sounds even more frustrating than my issue - at least I'm not losing all my answers! Have you tried filing later in the day? I've heard the system sometimes works better in the evening when there's less traffic.

Just wanted to update everyone - PA UC just posted on their Twitter account that they're aware of the certification issues and expect to have them resolved by 8pm tonight. They recommend trying again tomorrow morning if possible. For those who need to file today, they suggest calling the UC service center.

Just as a follow-up for anyone finding this thread in the future - this issue was fixed around 9:30pm that night. It was related to the new 2025 job search verification questions that were added during maintenance. If you ever encounter a similar issue where the system freezes during weekly certification: 1) Try using the PA UC mobile app instead of the website 2) Clear your browser cache completely (not just cookies) 3) Try filing during off-peak hours (early morning or late evening) 4) If all else fails, you can always certify by phone Remember you have until Friday each week to file for the previous week, so sometimes waiting 24 hours for a fix is the easiest solution.

Update from my end - I was able to complete my certification this morning without any issues! The system is working properly now. Thanks everyone for your help and suggestions yesterday!
