PA UC Money Network Card missing payments - can't access online banking
Hey everyone, I'm having a major issue with my PA unemployment Money Network card. I got it 2 weeks ago but can't enroll in online banking to track my benefits. The enrollment page just keeps giving me an error message saying "unable to verify identity" when I try to set it up. I need to see if my weekly claims are actually hitting the card because my rent is due next week. My landlord isn't exactly patient! Has anyone else had trouble setting up online banking with their UC card? Any tricks to make it work? This is so frustrating!

•Did your brother ever figure out how to fix it? I've tried calling their customer service but got disconnected twice after waiting 45 minutes each time!

You might be running into a common verification issue with the Money Network card. Make sure you're using the EXACT same name, address, and SSN format that you used on your initial UC application. Even small differences can cause rejection. Also, try using a different browser - their site has weird compatibility issues with some versions of Chrome and Firefox. If you're still stuck, you can check your balance by calling the number on the back of your card and using the automated system.

•Thanks for the suggestions! I tried a different browser (Edge instead of Chrome) but still no luck. I'll double-check the name format. My legal name has a hyphen and sometimes systems don't handle that well. The phone system works for checking balance but doesn't show transaction history which I really need.

This happened to me 2 months ago!!! So annoying!!! I freaked out thinking my payments were missing but they were actually there. The Money Network card is THE WORST part of unemployment!! Did you call the number on the back? Sometimes they have to manually reset something on their end. I spent 3 hrs on hold tho

not to change the subject but are we supposed to report these card issues to UC? my cousin got a letter saying his claim was marked inactive because he wasnt using his card or something weird like that. he had to reactivate his whole claim

•That's a different issue. Your cousin's claim likely went inactive because he stopped filing weekly certifications, not because of card issues. The Money Network card is handled by a separate company from PA UC, so card technical problems don't affect your claim status as long as you keep filing your weekly claims.

I had the EXACT same problem and wasted days trying to fix it. I was getting so stressed because I couldn't see if my payments were processing correctly. When I finally reached someone at PA UC, they told me there was a pending issue on my claim that needed to be resolved before payments would go through, but I couldn't see that through the card system. I finally used Claimyr (claimyr.com) to get through to an actual human at UC instead of getting constant busy signals. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E?si=WL1ZzVZWG3KiHrg2. Got connected to an agent in about 20 minutes who explained there was an employment verification flag on my account and helped resolve it. Then my payments started hitting the card correctly.

•Hmm, that's interesting. I've been wondering if there might be an issue with my actual claim that's causing problems. I'll check out that service because I'm going crazy trying to get through the regular phone line. Did they help with the Money Network enrollment problem too or just the claim issue?

•They just helped with getting through to UC about my claim issue. For the Money Network card specifically, I ended up having to call the card company directly (not UC). The secret is to call very early in the morning (like 7:01am when they open) to avoid the long wait times. The card enrollment eventually worked after they reset something on my account.

The Money Network cards are problematic by design. In my experience working with claimants, there are several things you can try: 1. Make sure your card is activated first by calling the number on the sticker 2. Wait 24-48 hours after activation before attempting online enrollment 3. Try enrolling from a desktop computer rather than mobile device 4. Make sure your address exactly matches what's on your UC profile (including apt numbers, directionals, etc.) 5. If it still fails, request a PIN reset through customer service If none of that works, you can still receive paper statements by mail by requesting them from Money Network customer service. This is important because sometimes payments can be rejected and returned to PA UC without clear notification.

•Thank you for all these details! I've done most of these things but haven't tried requesting a PIN reset. I'll give that a shot tomorrow. I definitely activated the card because I was able to withdraw some cash from an ATM last week, but that doesn't help me track what's actually being deposited. I'll try requesting paper statements too if I can't get the online access working.

Update: I FINALLY got it working! For anyone else with this problem, here's what fixed it for me: 1. Called Money Network at exactly 7:00am to avoid the wait 2. Asked them to completely reset my online access 3. Waited the full 24 hours they recommended 4. Used Microsoft Edge browser in private browsing mode 5. Made sure to use ALL CAPS for my name exactly as it appears on the card Now I can see that I actually did get both my payments but they were less than I expected because of the tax withholding I selected. Thanks everyone for your help!

•Excellent! Glad you got it resolved. The ALL CAPS name format is a strange requirement they don't mention anywhere in their instructions. I've seen this trip up many claimants. For future reference, you can also adjust your tax withholding preferences on your PA UC dashboard if you want to change how much is taken out.
