Money Network card login issues - can't check PA UC benefit balance
I'm having the most frustrating experience with my Money Network card from PA UC benefits! Every single time I try to log into my account to check my balance, the website just keeps me stuck on the login screen. I've tried on my phone, computer, even my sister's tablet - same problem everywhere. Sometimes it offers to send a verification code, but I never receive anything by text or email. It's been like this for almost a week now! I've got bills due next week and I NEED to know how much is on my card before I start paying things. Does anyone know another way to check your balance without logging into the Money Network website? I really don't want to go to the store and have my card declined in front of everyone. That happened to me last year and it was so embarrassing I wanted to die right there in the checkout line. Any help would be super appreciated!

Call the number on the back of your Money Network card. The automated system will tell you your balance without having to speak to anyone. Just have your card number and PIN ready. It works even when the website is acting up.

•Thank you so much! I didn't even think about calling the number on the back. I'll try that right now.

The Money Network site is GARBAGE!! Been dealing with this for 2 years now. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. PA UC needs to find a better payment provider instead of this terrible system. I've missed bill payments because I couldn't access my money on time. It's ridiculous that in 2025 we still have to deal with this kind of technology failure.

Besides calling the number on the back of your card, you can also: 1. Use the Money Network Mobile App (it sometimes works when the website doesn't) 2. Go to any ATM that accepts Visa cards to check your balance (some charge a fee) 3. Set up text alerts for deposits and transactions through the automated phone system Also, try clearing your browser cache or using incognito mode when accessing the website. Sometimes that fixes the login issue.

•Thanks for all these suggestions! I tried the app but it had the same verification code issue. I'll definitely set up those text alerts when I call - that would be really helpful going forward.

I had this exact problem last month! It turned out my account was locked after too many failed login attempts (even though I was using the right password). When I called the number, I had to verify my identity and they unlocked it. Took about 15 minutes on the phone but at least I could access my money again.

•Oh that's interesting - I might have accidentally locked myself out trying different devices. I'll ask about that when I call. Thanks for sharing your experience!

If ur really in a pinch u can also just try making a small purchase somewhere like buy a candy bar or something for $1 and the receipt will show ur remaining balance. Thats what i do when im out shopping and cant remember how much i got left.

•This is exactly what I do too! I always buy a pack of gum at the gas station before grocery shopping just to check my balance on the receipt. Works every time.

If you're having ongoing trouble with Money Network, you might want to consider switching to direct deposit if you have a bank account. Much more reliable and you won't have to deal with their website issues. You can change your payment method through your PA UC dashboard.

•That's a good point. I actually do have a checking account, I just never set up direct deposit because I was worried about delays. But given these card problems, it might be worth making the switch.

When i had this happen my unemployment agent said sometimes the Money Network system has maintenance periods that aren't announced. I was trying for days and suddenly it just started working again without explanation. Really annoying but seems to be normal with them unfortunately.

•Just another example of how broken the whole system is. They don't even bother to tell us when they're doing maintenance. How hard would it be to put up a simple notice?

•I tried calling PA UC but kept getting busy signals for two days straight. It's nearly impossible to reach them!

Hey, if you're having trouble getting through to PA UC, I discovered a service called Claimyr that really helped me. They get you through to an actual PA UC agent on the phone without the endless busy signals. I was skeptical but it actually worked - got through in about 30 minutes instead of days of calling. The agent was able to check if there were any issues with my Money Network card on their end. Check out their website at claimyr.com - they have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E?si=WL1ZzVZWG3KiHrg2

•That sounds really helpful actually. I'm going to try the card's customer service number first, but if I need to reach PA UC directly about this, I'll definitely look into that service. Thanks for sharing!

•Update: I called the number on the back of my card and was able to check my balance! The customer service rep also told me they were doing a system update this week that's causing login problems for some people. Thanks everyone for your help!

Glad you got it sorted out! It's so frustrating when these technical issues happen right when you need to check your balance. I've been using the phone number method for years now - it's actually faster than logging into the website even when it's working properly. Just a heads up, you can also ask them to set up balance alerts via text when you call, so you'll automatically get notified whenever your UC deposit hits your card. Really saves the stress of wondering if your benefits came through!

•That's such a great tip about the balance alerts! I definitely want to set those up - it would save so much anxiety about whether my payment went through. I'm also thinking about switching to direct deposit like Carmen suggested earlier, since these website issues seem to be a recurring problem. Thanks for all the helpful advice everyone!

I've been dealing with Money Network issues for months now and honestly it's so reassuring to see I'm not the only one! The website crashes constantly and the app is even worse. What really helped me was downloading a different browser (I switched from Chrome to Firefox) and that seemed to work better with their system. Also, if you're comfortable with it, you can enable automatic text notifications for every transaction - that way you always know your balance without having to log in. Just call that customer service number and ask them to set it up. It's been a lifesaver for me since I can't rely on their website at all anymore.
