PA UC Direct Deposit Timing - Won Appeal but No Payment After 4 Days

So frustrated right now! I finally won my appeal hearing last Tuesday after fighting with PA UC for nearly 2 months. My dashboard shows payment dates of the 16th (that was 4 days ago!!!) for all my back weeks, but NOTHING has hit my bank account yet. I've been checking obsessively every few hours. When do these direct deposits typically show up? Is there a specific time of day? I'm seriously stressed because my rent is due next week and I was counting on this money. Anyone else experience delays after winning an appeal? Is this normal or should I be worried something went wrong?

Congrats on winning your appeal! Direct deposits usually take 2-3 business days AFTER the payment date shows in your portal. Since the 16th was Thursday, and banks don't process on weekends, you're looking at Monday or Tuesday this week most likely. The system puts the payments through in batches, usually overnight, so many people see deposits early morning (like 3-5am). Don't panic yet - this timeline is totally normal for post-appeal payments.

Thank you so much, that's a huge relief! I didn't realize weekends wouldn't count. I'll try to stop obsessively checking until Tuesday morning then. The payment status says "paid" but I guess that just means they've initiated it, not that it should be in my account already?

Seriously? A whole week? Ugh. Do you remember if your portal said "paid" the whole time even though nothing had hit your account yet?

It depends on your bank too. Some banks like PNC and Wells Fargo process PA UC payments faster than smaller banks or credit unions. Also, first payments after appeals can take a bit longer than regular weekly payments because they go through an additional verification process. If you don't see anything by Wednesday, that's when I'd start calling the UC service center to check if there's an issue. One thing to watch for - make sure your bank account info is correct in the system. I've seen people wait for payments only to discover they had an old account number listed.

I double-checked my account info and it looks correct. I'm with a credit union so maybe that's why it's taking longer? I'll wait until Wednesday before I start panicking again. Thanks!

my sister had this EXACT problem last month!! payment date showed up but the money took 5 business days to actually hit her account. something about first payments after appeal decisions being flagged for extra review? idk but it did eventually come through

If you do need to call PA UC to check on the status, good luck getting through! I spent 3 days trying before I found Claimyr.com - it got me connected to an actual person in about 15 minutes instead of endless busy signals. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E?si=WL1ZzVZWG3KiHrg2 But honestly, based on my experience with post-appeal payments, I think your money will show up by Tuesday morning. The system always shows payment dates before the money actually moves.

is that service legit?? i always get disconnected when calling UC

Yeah, it worked for me when I needed to fix an issue with my work search records. Saved me from going insane hitting redial all day.

Yeah I won! The hearing was over the phone with a referee. It lasted about 20 minutes and they asked questions about why I was let go. My employer didn't even show up which probably helped my case. I got the decision in the mail 5 days after the hearing. Good luck with yours!

The whole system is a JOKE. I won my appeal TWO MONTHS AGO and still fighting to get my money. They "approved" it but then found another "issue" to investigate. It's just delay tactics to avoid paying people what they're owed. They're hoping people give up. DON'T GIVE UP. Keep calling and documenting everything. The payment dates are meaningless - I've had FIVE different payment dates come and go with nothing.

Oh no, that sounds awful! I'm so sorry you're dealing with that. Do you know what the new issue was? Now I'm worried there could be more problems even after I get this payment...

They claimed they needed to "verify my identity" AGAIN even though I'd already done IDme verification twice. It's just an excuse to hold onto money longer. Make sure you keep copies of EVERYTHING.

Just checking back - did your payment come through today? Monday morning is when most people see their deposits hit after Thursday/Friday payment dates.
