Why is ny unemployment payment delayed after holiday weekend?

Yeah this happens every time there's a holiday. The banks are closed on holidays so everything gets pushed back a day. Your payment will probably hit Wednesday instead of Tuesday this week. Annoying but normal.

smh the system is a joke. they never communicate any of this clearly on their website or in the certification process. just another example of how they make everything more complicated than it needs to be.
