Does claiming later on Monday delay ny unemployment deposit by a day?

You should be fine tbh. As long as you certified on Monday, the payment processing starts that night and usually takes the same amount of time. I've certified as late as 11pm on Mondays and still got paid by Wednesday afternoon. The system runs batches overnight so anything submitted during Monday should be in the same batch.

It might be delayed by a day. I've noticed when I certify after 5pm on Monday, I don't get my deposit until Thursday. The system does some processing overnight, and if you miss that cutoff it can push everything back. Not guaranteed though, sometimes it still comes Wednesday even when I certify late.

I always certify on Monday nights (usually around 8-10pm) and ALWAYS get my deposit on Wednesday by noon. I think as long as its done before midnight Monday you should be totally fine 👍

So whether you certified at 7am or 11:59pm Monday, it all goes into the same batch processing that runs overnight Monday into Tuesday. The payment file then gets sent to banks on Tuesday. But from everything I've seen and heard from the 100+ weeks I've been on unemployment on and off, as long as you certify before midnight Monday, you're in the same batch. If you're really concerned about timing, you might want to look into getting a direct deposit card that processes ACH payments faster. The real issue is why does this crapshow of a system make us wonder about basic things like this? We shouldnt have to worry if certifying on monday night vs monday morn changes things. The ny unemployment site is so vague about everything 🤦‍♂️

Listen to the ppl saying you'll be fine. I certify almost every Monday around 8pm and my money is always in my account by 4am Wednesday. You'll be ok!

usually if i certify before midnight monday its processed the same. BUT one time i did it at like 11:57pm and it didnt hit until thursday so maybe there is some cutoff close to midnight?

ur all giving different answers lol. the real answer is: it depends. sometimes late monday certs come wed, sometimes thursday. its the NY unemployment system - expect inconsistency 😂

Has anyone else noticed the system running slower lately? Been taking longer for payments to process the last few weeks. Mine used to hit wednesday mornings now not til afternoon.

It might come Thursday. Monday night certifications often hit my account Thursday morning instead of Wednesday. Their system is finicky like that. Set ur expectations for Thursday just to be safe.
