EDD certification timing question - will payment arrive same day as biweekly certification?

it depends on what time u certify tbh... if u do it right at midnight when the system opens up u usually get it same day but if u wait til later sometimes it takes til next day. ive had both happen. also depends on ur bank how fast they process the direct deposit

My payment ALWAYS takes 2 days no matter when I certify!!! EDD is so inconsistent with how they handle different people's claims it's ridiculous. Some people get paid same day, some next day, some like me always waiting 2 days for no reason. The system is broken.

One thing no one mentioned - if this is your first payment after serving any penalty weeks, it can sometimes take longer to process than your regular ongoing payments. But if you already received a payment on 9/18 without issues, you should be good to go with the same timing for this one. Just be sure you don't have any special circumstances this time (like reporting income) that might trigger additional review.

You'll see when your payment status changes from "pending" to "paid" - which usually means the money is on its way.
