Verified through ID.me on 8/19 but NY unemployment benefits still pending after 45 days - how much longer until release?

The ID.me verification is just step 1. They gotta actually process your claim after that which takes forever. Try calling every day - eventually you'll get through to someone who can help. Or sometimes calling right when they open works.

Have you checked your payment history on the website? Sometimes they process it but don't tell you. Look under "Payment History" instead of just the main dashboard.

Took me 23 days after ID.me to get paid. Its completely random and makes no sense. NY unemployment is a disaster.

Heres a secret trick: call the general helpline, and when they ask why ur calling say "payment question" not identity verification. That gets u to a different department who can actually help. worked for me!

listen if ur really desperate email your state senator AND assembly person. Send to both. Include ur name, last 4 of ssn, and phone #. They can escalate. I did this and got paid 2 days later.

The whole system is a joke. Took me 3 months to get my first payment after ID verification. The left hand doesnt know what the right is doing. Good luck 🙄

had same problem, ended up finding out they needed additional documents they never asked for 🤦‍♀️ call and ask if anything else is needed for your claim. sometimes the system doesn't update to tell u

i got my money 4 days after id.me verification but my cousin waited 5 weeks. there's literally no rhyme or reason to how they process these.

After my id.me was verified they put my account on hold for "further verification" which was never communicated to me. Had to call 46 TIMES to get through and then they fixed it in 5 minutes. the system is designed to make you give up!!!

CONTACT YOUR STATE ASSEMBLY PERSON!!!!!!! This is literally what they're there for. Mine helped me and my claim was fixed in 8 days.
