Maybe Im dumb but why do we even need the EIN? The government already knows they paid us unemployment. It's like they're asking us to verify information they already have? make it make sense 🤡

anyone kno if the turbotax free version will let you enter unemployment? or do i need to pay for the upgrade? these tax companies are such a scam

Just called the tax hotline this morning. After 2.5 hours on hold, they told me the EIN is 14-6013200. I wish they would just print this on the dang form! 😤
