New York Unemployment website and phone both hanging up - can't file new claim after 2 years

Same exact thing happened to me last month! The system is broken rn and doing this to everyone trying to file a new claim after having one before. You need to talk to a real person to reset your account but getting through is impossible 🤮

The system does this when theres a flag on ur account from previous benefits. Gotta call the 888 number and speak to a tier 2 rep to remove the block. Good luck getting through tho 😫

Have you tried filing during non-peak hours? Like super early morning or late at night? Sometimes the system works better then
