Unemployment Benefits Still "Determining" After Waiting Week - How Long Until Decision? (12/05/2022)
Just finished my waiting week and certified for my second week. The website shows they're still working on my application and determining benefits. When I log in, I can see my latest transaction info as of 12/06/2022 with a message that states: "We are continuing to work on your application and are determining the amount of benefits you will receive. You may get a call from us if we require further information. You will receive a status update as your application progresses through the system." The site also has some information about weekly payments for $700 showing "0" under the "Effective Days" column, and Debit Card or Direct Deposit under the "Type" column, explaining these are the Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation (FPUC) payments. I'm not sure if I should call them or just keep waiting since it seems like they're still processing things. I'm getting a bit anxious since I need to plan my finances, but the message seems to suggest I should just wait for them to contact me if they need more information. Anyone else dealt with this recently? How long did it take for your benefits to be determined after your waiting week?

Yo I found a way to actually get through to them! Used this service called claimyr.com - costs $20 but they handle the calling and hold time, then connect you when there's an actual person. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Rdqa1gKtxuE

•100% legit, used it twice already. Better than wasting hours trying to get through

•like 30 mins total. way better than the usual 4 hour hold time nightmare 💯

Look, I've been through this process multiple times and here's what you need to know: First off, the waiting week is standard procedure. After that, it typically takes 2-3 weeks for them to process everything IF there are no issues with your application. The message you're seeing is normal during this time. However, if you're worried or need immediate clarification, definitely try to reach them. The phone lines are usually jammed but I'd recommend using claimyr.com - it's a service that handles the calling/holding for you. Worth the $20 if you need answers asap. Also make sure you: - Keep certifying weekly even if you haven't received payment yet - Check your email spam folder daily - Make sure your direct deposit info is correct - Document all your certification dates Don't stress too much, but stay on top of it!
