New York Unemployment Account Stolen - Submitted Fraud Documents - No Response After 4 Weeks
My unemployment account was hacked during covid. Already submitted all fraud paperwork and visited the office 4 times but still no updates. Its been 4 weeks now and nothing. The office workers just keep saying to check back. Called multiple times but cant get through to anyone. Getting really frustrated because theres no way to actually talk to someone who can help.

Same exact thing happened to me! Took them 3 months to even look at my fraud case. Keep pushing and documenting everything. Take screenshots of your attempts to contact them, save confirmation emails, and write down names of anyone you talk to at the office.

Hey I actually found a way to get someone on the phone! Used this service called claimyr.com - it calls and waits on hold for you then connects you when someone picks up. Costs $20 but totally worth it cause I finally got my case looked at. They have a video explaining it here: https://youtu.be/Rdqa1gKtxuE

•better than losing thousands in benefits imo. plus you dont gotta sit on hold all day

IMPORTANT: Document everything! Take pictures of your fraud paperwork, get names of everyone you talk to at DOL, and send everything via certified mail so theres proof they received it. Trust me on this one 💯

Pro tip: File a complaint with your state representative's office. I was stuck for weeks then magically got a call back 2 days after contacting my assembly member lol

Listen up everyone dealing with fraud cases! Heres what worked for me: 1. File police report immediately 2. Contact all 3 credit bureaus 3. Use claimyr.com to actually get someone on the phone (seriously, check out their site) 4. File complaint with state rep 5. Send everything certified mail 6. Keep calling DOL every few days Took about 6 weeks total but finally got it resolved. The key is being persistent af and documenting EVERYTHING
