EDD nightmare: No documentation letter received, 4 weeks unpaid, can't reach anyone. Help!
I'm so frustrated with the unemployment office. They're asking for documentation for my disaster unemployment assistance, but I never received the letter they claim to have sent. On top of that, I haven't been paid for the last 4 weeks and have no idea why. I've tried calling multiple times, but keep getting transferred and disconnected. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any advice on how to actually get through to someone who can help?

Ugh, I feel your pain. The unemployment system is a total mess right now. Have you tried contacting them through their online portal or email? Sometimes that works better than calling.

•Yeah, I've tried everything online but keep hitting dead ends. It seems like I really need to talk to an actual person to sort this out.

•Online portal? More like online black hole where all our requests disappear forever 🕳️

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site called claimyr.com - it's a calling tool that dials through the phone menu, stays on hold, and then connects you when a live agent picks up. It costs $20, but it worked for me. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

•Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

•I was skeptical at first too, but I can confirm it's legit. Saved me hours of frustration.

•Wait, we have to PAY to talk to unemployment now? That's messed up.

•I get it, but for me, $20 was worth not spending days trying to get through. Your call tho!

Here's what you need to do: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your calls, emails, and attempts to contact them. 2. Reach out to your local state representative or senator. They often have staff dedicated to helping constituents with unemployment issues. 3. If you haven't already, file an appeal for the weeks you haven't been paid. This creates a paper trail. 4. Check if there are any local legal aid organizations that can help with unemployment issues. 5. Keep checking your online account daily for any updates or new messages. 6. If all else fails, consider contacting local media. Sometimes public pressure can get things moving. Remember, persistence is key. Don't give up!

I'm in the same boat, been waiting 6 weeks now with no payment. This system is beyond broken.

•6 weeks? Amateur. Try 3 months with no resolution 🙃

Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 minutes on hold last week. Good luck!

Anyone else notice how they always 'send' stuff but we never receive it? 🤔 Starting to think these letters are as real as my chances of ever buying a house

•Plot twist: the letters were inside us all along 😂

•Maybe the real unemployment benefits were the friends we made along the way 💀

Honestly, at this point I'm convinced the entire unemployment office is just one very overwhelmed person named Greg trying his best with an old Dell computer from 2003
