NYS Department of Labor unemployment payment still pending - why is my payment delayed?
Filed my weekly claim on Sunday like always but my payment is still showing pending in my ny.gov account. Usually it processes by Wednesday but it's been 5 days now. I didn't change anything on my claim and I've been certifying every week for 2 months without issues. Anyone know why unemployment payments get stuck pending? I really need this money to hit my account.

•Try not to panic. Pending doesn't mean denied. If you've been following all the requirements and haven't received any notices about issues with your claim, it's most likely just a processing delay. NYS Department of Labor processes thousands of claims and sometimes there are bottlenecks.

I had this same problem last month and couldn't get through to anyone at NYS Department of Labor to find out what was going on. Tried calling for days but just got busy signals. Agent was able to tell me my payment was just in a verification queue and would process within 2 days, which it did.

The NYS Department of Labor system is such a joke. They make us jump through hoops every week then can't even process payments on time. Been dealing with this bureaucratic nonsense for months!
