NY unemployment website login problems - anyone else locked out today?
Is anyone else having trouble logging into the NY unemployment website right now? I've been trying to log in since this morning and nothing happens when I click the login button. The page just refreshes but doesn't show any error message. I need to certify today or I'll miss my weekly benefits! Has the site crashed or is it just me? Really starting to panic here...

The site is definitely having issues today. I managed to log in after trying for about an hour. They're probably doing maintenance since it's the beginning of the month. Try clearing your cache and cookies or using a different browser. Sometimes the site works better on Chrome than Firefox in my experience.

Thanks, I'll try clearing my cache. Do you know if there's any grace period if I can't certify exactly on my scheduled day? I'm supposed to certify today and I'm worried about losing this week's payment.

I think it's related to the sytem update they announced last week. My friend certified yesterday with no problem but like 5 people in my building having same issue today. Maybe try again after midnight?

This happens every few months. The NY unemployment system gets overwhelmed at the beginning of each quarter when they're processing new claims and benefit year endings. Try these steps: 1. Clear your browser cache completely 2. Try using Microsoft Edge if you have it (their site seems optimized for it) 3. Try early morning (5-6am) or late night (after 11pm) when traffic is lower 4. If you miss your certification day, you can still certify later in the week - you have until Saturday at midnight Also, make sure you're using the direct link: https://applications.labor.ny.gov/IndividualReg/ instead of going through the NY.gov ID login sometimes.

When I had this exact problem last month, I spent HOURS trying different browsers and clearing cache. Nothing worked. I finally found this service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that got me through to an actual unemployment agent who fixed the login issue on their end. Turns out my account had some kind of security flag that only they could remove. I was skeptical too but it actually does work - they just help you skip the phone queue. The agent I talked to said they were dealing with a login system issue affecting a bunch of accounts right now. Better than missing payments imo.

I've been having trouble to. called the help numer but gave up after 45 mins on hold. this always happens when i need to certify and my rent is due next week so i really need this payment. why can't they just fix there website already????

they never fix anything properly!! this is like the 3rd time this year the site crashed on certification day. what are we supposed to do?? 🤷♀️

Update: Just checked the NYSDOL Twitter account and they've acknowledged the login issues. They say they're working on it and expect to have it resolved by tomorrow morning. They're also extending certification deadlines by 24 hours for anyone affected by this outage.
