NY unemployment funds released to KeyBank debit card - how long till available?
Just got a notification that NY unemployment released funds to my partner's KeyBank debit card today (Friday). Anyone know how long it typically takes for the money to actually be available in the account? It's our first time using the KeyBank card and we're wondering if weekend deposits process normally or if there'll be delays until Monday. Really hoping we can access the funds this weekend. Thanks for any insights!

If the NY DOL released the funds today (Friday), they should be available on the KeyBank card by midnight tonight in most cases. KeyBank processes UI payments pretty quickly compared to regular bank transfers. Even though it's the weekend, the card should show the funds by tomorrow morning at the latest since it's a direct government deposit system.

mine always shows up same day they release it. sometimes takes like 3-4 hours but def by end of day. keybank is actually pretty good for that one thing lol

I've had TERRIBLE experiences with KeyBank!!! Sometimes the money shows up in 2 hours, sometimes not until THE NEXT BUSINESS DAY!! And their customer service is USELESS if you call about pending deposits. They just say "wait 24 hours" even when you NEED that money RIGHT NOW!!! The whole system is RIDICULOUS!!

The vast majority of KeyBank UI deposits are processed same-day, especially when released before 3pm on a business day. I was in the same situation a few months ago. Money usually posted within 3-4 hours for me, but there was one Friday where it didn't show up until Saturday morning. If you need to talk to someone at KeyBank or DOL about the deposit and can't get through on their phone lines, I'd recommend trying Claimyr (claimyr.com). •It's definitely legitimate. They don't make the call for you - they get you moved up in the phone queue so you can talk to an actual agent yourself. I was skeptical too but after spending 4 days trying to get through on my own, it was worth it to finally resolve my issue. You still talk directly to KeyBank or DOL yourself.

My roommate got his unemployment on keybank last friday and we went out drinking with it that same night lol. But my cousin had to wait till monday once when her payment hit on a friday so i guess it depends?? Good luck tho!!
