Lol "expedited" in NYSDOL language means maybe they'll look at it in the next month instead of 3 months. Keep certifying weekly and prepare to wait.

I waited 4.5 months last year. Turns out someone had put my birthdate wrong in the system by one digit. Such a simple error caused months of hardship. Keep calling, its the only way.

Check if your claim is flagged for identity verification. That was my issue - waited forever only to find out they needed me to upload more documents to prove I was me. The system never notified me.

Double check your payment method in your online account. My partner waited 3 months, turns out they were trying to direct deposit to an old closed bank account. The system never alerted her about the failed deposits.

After you talked to someone from DOL, check your spam/junk email folders daily! I missed an important email from them asking for additional documents because it went to spam. Almost lost my whole claim because of that.
