If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

The witholding on unemployment is a flat 10% but ur actual tax bracket might be like 22% or 24% depending on ur total income. Plus they don't withhold state tax AT ALL. its totally misleading and they know it!!!

This happened to me & my wife. We both lost our retail jobs and got UE in 2021. Had a CPA explain that the withholding is just 10% federal and doesn't account for state taxes or your actual tax bracket. Biggest advice: adjust your W-4 at your current job to withhold extra if you're still getting unemployment.

This is actually really smart advice. I'm gonna do this at my new job now.

If you're trying to call the unemployment office and can't get through (which is basically guaranteed), try using claimyr.com - it's this service that calls for you and connects you when a human answers. Without it I would never have gotten my identity theft issue fixed. The NY unemployment phone system is designed to make you give up. When I finally got through, they told me they're seeing TONS of these cases.

i work at a tax prep office and we're seeing SOOO many cases like this right now. like 5-10 clients per week getting 1099-Gs for unemployment they never received. Make sure you dispute this before tax time or you'll be stuck sorting it out with the IRS too which is even more of a nightmare 💀

Did you try doing the video verification option? That worked for me when all the document uploads failed. You basically do a zoom call and show your ID to a person

•

I didn't see any option for that. Where is it on the site?

It should be on the same screen as document upload, there's a small link that says something like "verify by video" at the bottom. If you don't see it maybe they don't offer it for everyone

When all else fails, try claimyr.com - got me through to an actual person after weeks of failed calls. Best $$ I ever spent when I was about to lose my apartment.

Sometimes when I've had delays it's because they're doing additional verification. If you've worked for multiple employers in the past 18 months that can trigger it. But seriously you need to keep calling or try that claimyr service someone mentioned. Sitting and waiting won't fix it, trust me 😫

hot tip: call the 800 number, then as soon as it starts the recording press 9 then 2 then 1. it sometimes gets you to a different queue with shorter wait times

Heads up - they just added a new verification tool last month that might help. If you go to the website and click on "ID Verification Issues" there's a new form you can submit that's supposed to alert a specialist to your case. Worth a shot if you're still locked out!

Thanks for this! Can't find that option though - is it under a specific section?

It's kinda buried - go to Contact Us → Claims Assistance → ID Verification Problems. But honestly, even after filling it out, you'll prob still need to talk to someone. I used claimyr.com to finally get through on the phone after submitting that form 3 times with no response.
