Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. not to scare u but most ppl who have unemployment fraud also have tax return fraud. contact the IRS and your state tax dept to put a pin on ur account so nobody can file taxes in ur name.

am i the only one who thinks its INSANE that the ny unemployment system is so easy to hack?? like how does someone just file a claim with someone elses info and get approved??? no verification??? wtf
actually they DO verify with employers but the fraudsters know how to game the system. sometimes they even create fake companies that "verify" the employment.
still completely ridiculous. in 2022 we should have better security than this!

Guys we need to talk about how broken this system is. Why are they suddenly doing "random" checks AFTER approving people and paying benefits for months?? The NY unemployment system is a complete disaster. I've been dealing with them for so long and every month there's some new hurdle. It's exhausting. 😫

Pro tip: call right when they open at 8am. I got through after only 20 minutes on hold that way. They told me my refund was scheduled for next week. Worth trying if you're desperate!

jst had this happen. took 7 months to clear up with ny unemployment. theyll send u a PIN number in the mail even tho u didnt apply - DO NOT THROW THIS AWAY. youll need it when u finally get thru to someone to prove its not u. good luck

Have you checked if you've had a data breach? Go to haveibeenpwned.com and put in your email. Might give you clues about where your data got leaked from.
Just checked - looks like my data was in the T-Mobile breach last year 😖 That explains a lot
yeah that T-Mobile breach was MASSIVE. Affected like 50 million customers. Definitely change all your passwords!!

Check if you have two accounts now. Sometimes when you reapply it creates a new claim instead of extending the old one, and that can cause massive confusion in their system. Ask specifically about this when you talk to someone.
