Check if you have two accounts now. Sometimes when you reapply it creates a new claim instead of extending the old one, and that can cause massive confusion in their system. Ask specifically about this when you talk to someone.
I've called 173 times today. ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY THREE. Not exaggerating, I've been keeping count. Not a single time got past the "we're experiencing high call volume" message. How is this acceptable in 2023???
I was in your same position last month. After trying for two weeks straight, I broke down and used claimyr.com - they call unemployment for you and connect you when a real person answers. Was skeptical but it actually worked! They called for 3 hours (glad it wasn't me waiting) and then I got connected to an agent who fixed my issue in 10 minutes. My payments started coming through again the next day.
Guys we need to talk about how broken this system is. Why are they suddenly doing "random" checks AFTER approving people and paying benefits for months?? The NY unemployment system is a complete disaster. I've been dealing with them for so long and every month there's some new hurdle. It's exhausting. 😫

•Just checked - looks like my data was in the T-Mobile breach last year 😖 That explains a lot
