Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. I'm so fed up with this broken system I can't even. Been on unemployment since october after getting laid off and every other week theres some new hurdle. I think its a glitch in there system. My husband had the same issue. His claim was stuck at $0 for 2 months. When he finally got someone on the phone they said it was becuz the computer system flagged his claim for "potential fraud" for no reason. Once the agent looked at it they cleared the flag and he got all his money in 3 days. So frustrating!!

I'm wondering if there was a data breach we don't know about. I'm seeing WAY too many of these posts lately. Maybe all our info is floating around the dark web from some hack.
Apparently there was a HUGE breach of unemployment systems nationwide during COVID. The feds estimated like $400 BILLION in fraudulent claims. Insane.

u tried twitter? sometimes if u tweet at NYSDOL with ur issue they respond faster. embarrassing them publicly seems to work lol. worth a shot!
Stop wasting time on the phone. It never helps. I used Claimyr (claimyr.com) after 3 months of getting nowhere and had my issue fixed in one call. talking to an agent got my $ unlocked so fast
Yeah, I was in the same boat as OP. Stuck in pending for months, savings drained. I was desperate enough to try anything. You pay them and they keep calling the unemployment line until they get through, then they connect you with the agent. Better than spending hours on hold yourself.

go to ur local unemployment office in person!! seriously, waiting on phone or for website updates is useless. I went down to the office after having the exact same problem and they fixed it on the spot. bring ID and both bank account info with you.

•This is good advice if you have the time, but the wait times at the physical offices can be insane too. Last time I went there was a 4 hour wait. That's why I ended up using claimyr.com instead.

My roommate is dealing with the EXACT same issue right now! He's been waiting for 3 weeks for a payment after changing banks. Called every day and finally got through yesterday - they told him his payment was "flagged for manual review" and is still being processed. Such BS.
