Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Had this exact problem with id verification. Kept sendng pics for months and nothing worked. Finally I gave up on the online portal and just FAXED my id to them (yes, fax lol). Got approved in 48 hours. Sometimes the old school methods work better with these dinosaur agencies.

I used an online fax service lol. But I swear this worked when nothing else did. Government agencies love their 1990s technology.
Here's a wild thought that worked for me - I cropped my ID photos VERY precisely. Like, cut off everything except the actual ID itself, no background visible at all. The system seemed to struggle when there was too much background in the image. After I did this, approved on first try after 3 rejections.

Hate to be that person, but did you try all the variations of your email? Like if you normally use name@gmail.com, try n.ame@gmail.com or na.me@gmail.com - gmail ignores dots in addresses but some systems register them as different emails. Worth a shot!

When you filed your claim originally, did you set up direct deposit then or was it added later? If it was later you might be able to use the paper check option as a fallback. Still have to talk to someone but sometimes the paper check option has a different verification process. Just thinking outside the box here cause I've been through this circus.

•In my experience you still need to verify identity but sometimes they have alternative methods if you explain you can't access ID.me. Worth asking about when you get someone on the phone.

Random but does anyone else get anxiety when they see an email from ny unemployment? even now when my claim is all settled, i still get a pit in my stomach when i see that nysdol.gov address pop up lmaooo
omg i literally have a special alert sound for their emails and my heart still DROPS when i hear it 😂

I had that issue once! When you report interviews sometimes it triggers a review. Try calling them (I know, I know) - in my case they just had to verify the interview was real and then released the payment.
