If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

I'm a claims adjudicator (not in NY). Generally any time you're not working through no fault of your own, you may qualify for UI. Quarantine due to workplace exposure typically qualifies. Make sure to answer all questions honestly and if in doubt, include more info in the comments section of your claim.

I swear the ny unemployment website was designed by sadistic trolls who want us all to suffer. Good luck figuring out which options to select for your situation - it's like a choose your own adventure that always ends with DENIED.

LMAO so true. I feel like I need a PhD to understand half the questions they ask.

The website is trash but talking to an actual human on the phone helps so much. They can override stuff in the system the website can't do. I ended up using claimyr.com since I couldn't get through on my own.

NY unemployment federal benefits ending September 5, 2021 - What options exist after PEUC/EB programs expire?

Just got this letter from NY unemployment saying that federal benefits are ending on September 6, 2021. I'm currently getting the extended benefits after my regular UI ran out in July. They're saying this is the last month I can get payments through these extensions, and I'm still struggling to find work. I've had a few interviews but nothing solid yet. The letter states: "This is a reminder that per federal law, federal unemployment benefits and extensions are scheduled to expire on September 5, 2021." It specifically mentions that this includes benefits in the following programs: - Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation (PEUC) - Extended Benefits (EB) - $300 Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation (FPUC) supplement - $100 Mixed Earner Unemployment Compensation (MEUC) supplement - Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) The letter says "Our records indicate that you are currently receiving or eligible for PEUC or EB benefits. If you are still out of work, the last week to certify for full or partial benefits through these programs is September 5, 2021 through September 11, 2021." It also mentions that to be eligible for a new unemployment insurance (UI) claim, I must have worked and earned enough wages in covered employment (generally employment where a W-2 is issued). I've been relying on these payments to cover rent and basic bills. Really worried about what happens next month when everything stops. Does anyone know if there are any other options after this runs out? Anyone else in the same situation or know what alternatives might exist once these benefits end?

Anyone else notice the overpayment amounts are often wrong? They claimed I owed $2,970 but when I finally got to speak to someone, they admitted their calculation was incorrect and it was actually only $1,200. Always question their math!

How did you challenge the calculation? Did you have to provide specific evidence?

I went through all my payment records with a fine-tooth comb and made a spreadsheet showing exactly what I received vs what they claim I received. Had to talk to 3 different agents before finding one who would actually review it properly.

I finally got through to someone at unemployment yesterday using Claimyr (claimyr.com) after months of trying everything else. The agent told me they're extremely backlogged with waiver requests but they ARE processing them. She looked up my waiver (submitted in July) and told me it was approved but the letter hadn't been sent out yet! It's the best money I've ever spent to finally get my benefits paid quickly. If you're waiting, definitely try to speak with an agent directly - sometimes your waiver is actually processed but the notification system fails.

So I was about to throw my phone after 3 hours on hold when my friend told me about this service. Used it yesterday and actually spoke to someone who helped me. Still in shock that it worked after months of trying.

This might sound crazy but has anyone tried using a different wifi network? I couldn't file at home for weeks, then tried at Starbucks and it worked immediately. Now I wonder if certain IP ranges are getting blocked or throttled.

OMG this might explain a lot! I can never file at home but it worked at my parents' house! 🤯

Hate to be that person, but I think some accounts are just permanently messed up in their system. I had to create a whole new account after 2 months of errors. Lost some payments in the process but at least I can file now.

How did you create a new account? Wouldn't that mess up your claim history and everything?

•

You have to call and speak with a supervisor - only they can create a new account that links to your old claim. Took me forever to get someone who knew how to do this though.

Here's a weird trick that worked for me: call exactly at 7:58am, two minutes before they officially open. Sometimes you get through to the queue before everyone else starts calling at 8:00am sharp.

Did you upload all your identity documents? Sometimes they silently put a hold on your claim if they need to verify your identity. Check if there's a message on your account about uploading ID docs.

Yes I uploaded everything when I first applied...license, SSN, etc. No messages or alerts about missing documents.
