DPSS Recertification Nightmare: Endless Rerouting and Wait Times. Help!

Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with my recertification. I keep getting rerouted and having to wait forever. Has anyone else experienced this? Any tips on how to get through to an actual person?

I found a way to solve recertification call wait times, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uGkd8-drjyw

Ugh, I feel your pain. The recertification process is a nightmare. I've been trying to get through for weeks now. It's like they don't want us to succeed or something.

Seriously! It's like they're purposely making it difficult. I swear the system is designed to frustrate us into giving up. šŸ¤¬

Hang in there, guys. It sucks but we gotta keep trying. Don't let them win by giving up!

Have you tried calling at different times of the day? I found that early morning (right when they open) or late afternoon tends to have shorter wait times.

I actually found a way to get someone on the phone without waiting forever. I used this site called claimyr.com - it's a calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, and then connects you when a live agent picks up. It costs $20, but it worked for me. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/4RyuKFckT6k

I get the skepticism, but it's legit. Saved me hours of frustration. The $20 was worth it for me, but I understand it might not be for everyone.

Just tried it and it actually worked! Got through in about 30 minutes instead of waiting all day. Thanks for the tip! šŸ™Œ

Pro tip: When you finally get through, ask for a direct extension or email of the person helping you. Makes follow-ups way easier.

This! šŸ’Æ It's a game-changer if you can get a direct line.

Has anyone else noticed that the DPSS website is always "under maintenance" when you need it most? It's like they're trolling us at this point. šŸ¤”

Okay, let me break down what I've learned about the recertification process after dealing with this for months: ā€¢ Always keep copies of EVERYTHING you submit. They have a habit of "losing" documents. ā€¢ If possible, submit your recertification online AND by mail. Belt and suspenders approach. ā€¢ Call first thing in the morning, like 7:59 AM. Be ready to hit redial. ā€¢ If you get a helpful agent, write down their name and ID number. ā€¢ Check your case status online regularly. Sometimes they update it without notifying you. ā€¢ If you're really stuck, reach out to your local assemblymember's office. They can sometimes expedite things. ā€¢ Don't give up! It's frustrating, but persistence pays off. Hope this helps someone. We're all in this together!

The assemblymember tip is clutch. They helped me resolve an issue that had been dragging on for months.

Anyone else feel like they need a degree in bureaucracy just to navigate this system? šŸŽ“šŸ¤”

Lol for real. I'm thinking of adding "Professional Hold Music Listener" to my resume at this point.
