DPSS Recertification Help Needed - What Documents Do I Need?
Hey everyone, I'm having some trouble with my recertification. I got a notice from DPSS but I'm not sure what to do next. Has anyone gone through this process recently? Any tips or advice would be really appreciated!

Ugh, recertification is such a pain. I just went through it last month. Make sure you have all your documents ready - pay stubs, bank statements, rent receipts, the works. They're super picky about everything.

•For real tho 🙄 I swear they make it complicated on purpose

•Yep, and don't forget to make copies of EVERYTHING you submit. Learned that the hard way when they 'lost' my paperwork.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone at DPSS! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Check out this video: https://youtu.be/4RyuKFckT6k

•20 bucks tho? That's kinda steep when were already struggling 😕

•I get it, but for me it was worth it. Time is money, and I couldn't afford to spend all day on hold.

Has anyone else noticed that the DPSS website is down like, all the time lately? I've been trying to upload my docs for days and keep getting error messages. 🤬

Pro tip: If you can, go to the office in person. I know it's a hassle, but I got everything sorted out in one visit. Bring a book though, the wait can be loooong.

Hey OP, here's a detailed breakdown of what you need to do for recertification: 1. Gather all required documents: - Pay stubs (last 30 days) - Bank statements (last 3 months) - Rent/mortgage proof - Utility bills - Any changes in household composition 2. Fill out the recertification form completely. Double-check everything! 3. Submit everything before the deadline. Early is better. 4. Keep copies of EVERYTHING you submit. 5. Follow up within a week to make sure they received your docs. 6. If you don't hear back within 30 days, start calling or try to visit in person. Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions.

•Wow, thank you so much for this detailed response! This is super helpful. Quick question - do you know if they accept digital copies of documents?

•Glad to help! As for digital copies, it depends. Some offices accept uploads through their portal, but others still require physical copies. I'd call and ask to be sure.
