Michigan State Refund Portal Error - Wrong Info Message & Getting Locked Out After Acceptance 1/31
Filed my Michigan taxes and got accepted on January 31st, but I can't check my refund status. Every time I try entering my info on the website it says wrong information. Called the Michigan Treasury and the automated system keeps saying no matches found. After 3 attempts I get locked out. Starting to get worried since its been over a month now.

This is actually pretty common with Michigan's system right now. They're having database sync issues. Wait 48 hours after getting locked out, then try again using your EXACT info from your return - down to every period and space. Make sure you're using your AGI from line 10 of the MI-1040, not your federal AGI.

hey i know this is frustrating! I actually started using taxr.ai to track both my federal and state refunds. It costs $1 but its worth it - gives you real-time updates and explains exactly whats happening with your refund. Way better than getting locked out of state portals lol https://taxr.ai

try calling them right when they open at 8am. The automated system seems to work better in the morning for some reason idk why 🤔

Check if your address matches EXACTLY what's on your return. I had a period after 'St' and that was messing everything up 🤡
